Spyderco knew full well that it would need to ship over a thousand extra orders and thus should’ve temporarily allocated extra staff to help ship those orders faster. Thursday morning will be 4 full business days since orders were placed!

the lack of perspective, let alone appreciation, demonstrated by some of the accounts posting within this thread in particular reaffirms why haven't bothered participating much over the years... lord

Be the change you want to see in the world. Like anything these days, I think this is another case of a vocal minority that is upset while the majority that do appreciate the great lengths Spyderco is going to are somewhat more subdued in their praise.

Thank you so much to Sal and crew. I received my first Mule Team today, and I couldn't be happier. I ordered some of the last textured burlap Micarta scales from Halpern and got those in the mail yesterday. Very happy!

:worried still no shipping notification or email and now my cc no longer shows the purchase. Hope is still alive, but I feel a little woozy :woozy

Same with me. I think that they can only have pending charges for so long. It’s my understanding that once it ships, ie shipping label is scanned, that your cc will be actually charged.

I hope at least…. But this program is well worth a few extra days wait. Spyderco has done a great job on these.

If they have extra staff floating around? I wouldn't expect them to hire a few people for this, then what do they do after the orders are shipped out? It's just a consequence of doing large batch orders like this that are basically guaranteed to sell out and generate a huge increase in orders.

Thanks WilliamMunny, I didn't know about the pending charge time. I'm happy whether or not I get any, just more than happy if I do :)

I imagine that SFO is being pushed to clear things out for the holiday down time like most companies. I'm feeling the push here at work as well.

EDIT : Just got my shipping notice. No UPS tracking, it's USPS since it goes all the way to France. It's virtually impossible to know how long I'll have to wait. Between 2 weeks and a month I'd say !

real EDIT : clicked quote instead of edit...

I'm just hoping I don't have to wait till Monday for a shipping notice, super Jealous of those who got their orders days ago.

We have so little patience these days. :spiral-eyes None of us will starve if our umpteenth knife doesn't arrive in a week or less. Mine is still half a week away, assuming no mishaps along the way.

Last I heard, my Mules were on a conveyor belt in Kansas City looking for a ride towards Atlanta.

They were hungry too, wanting some fire hose with cardboard for dessert..

I don’t think it’s a patience thing but worried about it not shipping. You add in all the server issues and the pending charges disappearing it can make you nervous. I know it would make me feel better to see a shipping notification.
