I was lucky enough to pick this up from Spyderco on the release date. It wasn't until this morning that I was finally able to put the Spyderco scales on it and snap a photo. I am looking forward to putting a fine edge on it with my KME, and putting it through its paces. Thanks to Sal and the Spyderco team for continuing the Mule Team program.

Looks good! I would love to be close enough to visit the SFO.

Mine will look similar when it arrives.
I’m actually glad I don’t live close enough to Spyderco as I’d be poor and living in a cardboard box outside the factory.

Re: My new MT-30P
I finally got around to sharpening this new blade. I used a KME and diamond hones. I profiled the bevel to 39 degrees (the smallest angle I could get on the KME), and took it down to the 0.5 micron diamond hone. I then finished with a clean leather strop. I am relatively new to the KME, and am still learning its quirks. At this point in the KME learning curve, I get noticeably better with each blade I sharpen, and this Z-Wear is the sharpest blade I have produced, so far. Holy cow is it sharp! And, the blade took a nice polish, too.
Hunting season has started, and I'll be carrying both this Z-Wear Mule and a Z-Max Mule for field dressing duties. Both blades are sharpened the same, and it'll be interesting to do a side-by-side comparison cutting up antelope on the dusty Colorado plains.
