Hey, everyone!
We're happy to announce the MT29P Z-Max PM Mule Team will be released on Tuesday, 08-Jun-2021 at 09:00 am MDT.

You'll find it and more details here.

Mule Team handle scales (MTGBK) and sheaths (MTLSH) and (MTSH) will also be available through SFO (sold separately).

Shipping information can be found here.

Sales will be limited to one per household. Please be aware that the Z-Max PM Mule was planned and produced before discussions about increasing quantities.

Don't forget to come back and share your experience in the Mule Team sub-forum! We'll be watching, and we can't wait to see what everyone does next! ;)

i've never been able to get a mule. i always try to wait to order other models along with it and i always end up missing out on both.

based on what i'm seeing, is z-max going to be impossible to sharpen with the standard sharpmaker and not very tough? i'm looking for a tough, corrosion-resistant fixed blade that isn't too hard to sharpen. :)
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

A little bummed that it's limited to one per household but still super excited for this mule!

Can't wait to cut some brass.

Z-max will not be what you're looking for. It is not tough, not corrosion resistant and it is not easy to sharpen. Magnacut would be an ideal choice for what you're looking for. :)

Sweet, MT29 release, Thunderdome Edition! Don't know if I'll be able to get one, but I'll sure try.

Thanks for limiting this mule to one per household, hopefully that will keep them around a few minutes longer for those of us trying to get through on mobile.

Z-max should have absolutely incredible wear resistance(edge holding ability), but that comes at a price. With only 4% chromium(usually 13% and higher is considered stainless), it won’t have much corrosion resistance and will probably not be tough at all. I won’t say that it would be impossible to sharpen with your Sharpmaker, but it will likely be extremely frustrating to sharpen with anything short of diamond stones. https://www.zapp.com/fileadmin/_documen ... eet-US.pdf

Hopefully limiting this release to one per household actually will help control some of the scalpers and give the rest of us a little better chance at getting one.

I don’t think magnacut is hardly available besides from the few custom makers that got some from the first batch. It’s a relatively new steel, only been one production run of it so far I believe. When it does become. ilBle grab some ASAP though lol
