Got one!
I thought I wasnt going to because I also added a boltaron sheath, which spyderco let me add to the cart but then told me was sold out.
So I had to remove it and go through the checkout process again. Luckily I still got it.
I also thought about pre-loading my cart with the boltaron sheath but ultimately decided against it and will just go with my local blade shop for a customized kydex sheath and scales. Good thing because I don't think it was marked as sold out when I checked earlier.
Yeah, pages loaded slowly, but no time-out message during ordering. Only got one a minute before counter had opened. Oh and the Order Confirmation mail was actually received a moment before the Order was Completed page was loaded. :D
Thanks to the Spyderco crew from me, too!! I'm super stoked!! :)
Michael 48 Spydies, 44 different models, 43 different steels . Grail knife, still to be acquired: original Tuff by Ed SchemppFeel free to help me find one at a reasonable price...
It took me literally 6min to complete the order. Finally it was successful and half an hour later my card was charged with the amount. Hopefully that means I got one. Now just waiting for shipping confirmation.
I wanted one, made an account, and reminded myself every day since this post was made, then went out and did lawn work all morning before work; hedges, edges, and mowing. Put it all up, came in cold showered (it's already heat index 90+ F ), and Totally Forgot until WAY to late (about thirty five minutes after they were available), lol.
Just kind of chuckling to myself about it.
Would've liked to have gotten one to try out the steel, but just gonna chuckle about missing it. "Nothing gained nothing lost", as is said. Oh-well :)
Lawn and hedges do look fantastic though, and I'm clean and cooled off, relaxing inside before going to work. Definitely a good day :) Think I'll jump on my trek and go grab some bananas (ba-nay-nays as I like to call them) at the store, before going in to work. Yep, definitely a good day :)
I hope to hear some good/detailed use & sharpening reports about the steel from those that got one, and Congrats to those that did.
i've never been able to get a mule. i always try to wait to order other models along with it and i always end up missing out on both.
based on what i'm seeing, is z-max going to be impossible to sharpen with the standard sharpmaker and not very tough? i'm looking for a tough, corrosion-resistant fixed blade that isn't too hard to sharpen. :)
Mule Team Army 001
MNOSD 008
Stable Mules; Z-Max, Z-Wear, Magna Cut, SRS13, Rex 76, Rex T15.
Win! I finally got a mule after missing out on several in the past. I’ve been enjoying trying new steels and I’ve been loving my Maxamet PM2, so really looking forward to trying this one out.

yes. i love lc200n. i missed that mule altogether though. i didn't even know what the mule team was when that one was released. i'm hoping the new enuff xl gets released in lc200n.

Hello fellow friend. :D
The factory edge reminds me a lot of maxamet.
I'm not saying anything, but this system is absurd. It is a shame that after buying all the Miles that Spyderco has produced, the last two have been nothing short of impossible to obtain. Do something to change this please, even if by lottery or in any other lay
