MT28P - CPM SPY27 Mule Team - Impressions

#1

Post by Zive »

Fellow Mules,

Now that the SPY27 Mule is landing in mailboxes (and has already been in the hands of some lucky SFO-adjacent folks for a few days) it seems like a good time to set up a thread separate from the reveal and release date announcement ones.

Let's share impressions on performance & sharpening, comparisons to past Mules, and photos of how you've finished yours or put it to use.

I would post something to get the ball rolling, but my shipment is delayed on account of the cold weather gripping the central US, so please, feel free to share below.

Cheers

I have mine and hope to have some time this weekend to put the scales on and change the clip orientation on the sheath.

I'll post some pics and initial impressions if I'm able to complete those tasks.

Yes, I think I beat him to the punch by a few minutes but had to wait for Mod approval for this to go up.

Kristi, if you would like to delete this thread for redundancy, you have my approval.

Stopped by the Outlet today and walked out with the last two #28's they had. One for me, one for my BIL. Plan on trying our hand at making our own scales. Inspired by the recent Skeletonizing thread, I'm planning on using screws so I can pop the handles on or off in case I feel the need for an ultra light fixed blade.

Thanks Sal. Had a wonderful time at the shop, the staff helped me find several other must haves to put on my wish list. Walked out with a Lady Bug as well and can guarantee that it will always have a place in a pcoket.
