Boltaron Sheath?

#1

Post by Cscottsss »

So I'm trying to stay ahead of the game and get a sheath to go with my first Mule I'm hoping to score on Friday.

I have a few questions about the Boltaron Sheath available thru purchase directly from Spyderco. Is this a new sheath or standard offering that's just out of stock currently.

If I'm not able to get one of these what's a comparable sheath for EDC belt carry? I really like the clip and don't really want "loops"

Thanks

Thanks Sal, hopefully they'll be back in stock sooner rather than later. If I'm able to get a Mule this Friday I want to start carrying it and using it right away. Can't do that very well without a sheath, haha. :D

That's what cardboard and duct tape are for.

I really did use a cardboard and duct tape sheath for a couple of years before I made one out of leather. Since the carpenter jeans I used to wear got discontinued, I had to break down and make a new sheath, this time I used Kydex.

I have one Bolt sheath... I might store my non-user mules in cardboard/duct tape combos for a bit.

I have a Mule Team 28 in a Boltaron sheath. Nice package. It's a quality sheath with a TPO ( Thumb Push Off ). There are some in stock now and I spoke to Christina about getting going on more. The SPY27 gets really sharp. I'm curious to see what the edge Junky's can do with it?

Hope you added like $25 worth of other stuff to hit the free shipping level.

I'm guessing the answer is yes, but can the clip be spun 90 degrees so that these sheaths can be worn horizontally?

Hi, ChopSliceStab:
You would be guessing correctly. Yes. You can find detailed information about the G-Clip here, https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/GCLIP/835.

Not sure it makes any difference, but maybe we gather the information how many of the leather and the boltaron sheaths are being needed by us? Post it here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=88848

From my understanding based on past posts is that Mule drops are quarterly.
