I contacted Halpern about a month ago, and they said they were hoping to do a run of scales this summer, hopefully in july.
I used the contact form on their website and they got back to me and mentioned they had the G-10 scales, but it might have been the last set. Not listed on the site as in-stock right now, they had to process it manually for me.
Yeah, I did the same thing. At the time they had a couple g10 options (none listed as in stock on the website), but nothing I wanted. They told me that since spyderco is reviving the mule team project that they would make more soon.

Did you choose the GITD?

Navigating Cuscadi's site brings back memories of geocities... I'm guessing the best way to order is look at the pictures, decide what I want, and send them an email? Please advise if there's a more efficient way.

You name it, they can do it. Personally I look at pictures all across the internet and send them ideas and they make it happen. They are spendy, but they do phenomenal work. I currently have a set of Orange Micarta scales with a front flipper mod for a REX45 Lil’ Native in the mail coming from them.

Bingo. As said above, email and ask.

Asked about glow scales and maybe wood and got a heap of pictures of all different wood scales not on their website. Super easy to deal with and emails were quickly answered and payment was via PayPal

Pleasant dealing and the best way to get something unique if you want.

Insanity prevails. That is close to $2000 us for something that retails for $50. Was this found on an ebay site, or from a reputable distributor? I'm really guessing that it does not cost $1000 get the knife to Europe, still leaving $950 in profit. Looks like the dirty side of greedy capitalism to me. But, it only looks that way because I can not capitalize at that price. Poor me. Or, lucky me that I live in Canada and will only have to pay $150ish after shipping and exchange rates, if I can get one.

Hey Krispy, lots of room in Canada for Spyderfans. KLM flies from Berlin to Denver $838 one way. You could fly and buy for the same money. Oops, *%^$!! covid.

MuleTeam knives can only be purchased from Spyderco direct, they don't go to dealers! They've not even been released yet!

Maybe I'm missing something

I usually feel silly as a rule of thumb, but there's no reason too :p

I have paid a good chunk for a discontinued 4V MuleTeam at around 2 1/2 times what they cost new and a couple flipper prices for some folders. I "had" to have them though :D

Hearing both of the alerts today from the Spyder App sent me into panic mode again. Do not know if I can handle another false Mule alert 😀

I'd like to see them do something extra special for this mule since it is their own steel and do half of the run in DLC! That would be pretty darn cool.

You can get DLC added to a mule aftermarket. I was actually thinking about getting one of my PD1 mules done.
