Does anyone know an approximate date for the release of this mule? Also any other details about it such as price, and target hardness?

Ha, well I hope he'll chime in. The last Mule was CTS-XHP and it sold out in the first few days of February.

Hi Rangodash,

The mule is being processed now. I'll know more when it's closer to being finished. Each steel is different with a different "personality" as far as working the material. There is usually a learning curve and we don't know what we don't know.

Impossible, I purchased mine the first week of January.

I'm in for one. Looking forward to trying out K390 for the first time.

How does you purchasing one in January make it impossible for them to have sold out in Feb? Not disputing either claim but I'm not following the logic.

Right I was stating when they sold out, not when they were listed for sale.

I always forget, what's the basic differences in edge wear, toughness, hardenability, corrosion resistance between k390 and m390? in layman's terms if you will, just what a user might notice.

I was under the impression that K390 was kind of like M390 that "goes to 11", but really I have no idea and would love to hear someone with some knowledge elaborate on these two steels.

Seems like it would've been easier to label it M391, but I can't expect everything to be that easy :)

yeah, the labeling is becoming pretty confusing. I mean, it was easy when it was s30v-s60v-s90v-s110v etc

I wish the modern "families" had some sort of decipherable system

Thanks. Where do we purchase them? Or get on a list to purchase them.
