Ramonade, I appreciate the way you relieve the front of the scales so they are not full thick near the blade.
Super interesting, KKnuts! How about you fill us in with a little background info on your unique scales? Or is this a production item?
Kudos for actually modifying the profile of the steel, Dane! Strong work. I have done similar with mine and really like a tang area that is not quite so tall.
I bought these scales on eBay from a seller named Igor Tchumak in Kazan, Russia. I believe they are made of oak wood.

Those look fantastic. Are they stabilized?

Re: Show your Mule
They don't appear to be stabilized, maybe they used some kind of oil treatment.

Beautiful new scales from Hazy Design Studio on Etsy. I really like the feel of these scales in my hand. Excuse the quick snap and dirty mat.

These are nicely contoured. I'll try to get better pictures at some point.

Im a vegetarian as technically cows are made of grass and water.
Re: Show your Mule
I have a stock building up too ! I'm waiting for mules, but also for my own stuff.
And here's my last one. I was planning on making it screw-construction. But I had some issues and had to make it permanent to not lose the wood (it's really pricy). Elder burl with brass corbys, and 1mm white G10 liner on each side.

Re: Show your Mule
She's a beauty Robin! Like you fellas I have a stash of material waiting and a few mules waiting on them, but I'm low on motivation. Seeing all this nice work may get me in gear

Re: Show your Mule
Updated my mule sheath design to include a clip so I can EDC my mule. New revision eliminated any rattle when mule is sheathed.
Re: Show your Mule
Nice !
I finally have my brother Prusa working. I was looking forward to printing the sheath alone, this update will sure be welcomed !
If you make the new version available on thingyverse I'll print that one !

Re: Show your Mule
Thank you! I originally got the sheath in a scout cary setup, but found the spyderco boltaron worked better for me - i like front horizontal carry. The azwelke sheath is tight and pushing off the belt vertically with my thumb is easier than pushing across.
