Elastic Ceramic mule interest poll

Post by Fireman »

Just thought it would be good to see what the potential demand for the possible elastic ceramic mule would be.

I voted for two, it when this a happens we’ll be lucky to get even one. Something like this will draw in buyers from all over.

I'd buy one.

I really wanted to say, "Yes! I love flipping mules on EBAY" but I decided to answer truthfully.

Since this is truly unique, it has the potential for high demand if the word gets out. Romans knives seem to have sold like hot cakes.

I had a cheap ceramic knife in my late teens and quite liked it. Unfortunately, it got borrowed and my grandmother broke the tip off by accident and threw it away.

I think this Elastic Ceramic is a huge improvement over the "el cheapo ceramic knife". And exactly the whole point of the Mule.

I definitely can't complain about a lack of customers :D

I’m definitely in for one, maybe two if I’m being ambitious. Have lots of testing in mind bedsides just edge retention.

I like the idea of new steels, but there's something awesome about it being steel. I'd love to test it, but drop it once and there's no more testing. Try and sharpen it. It'll never be like new in my experience. I know that this High Impact Ceramic is trying to solve some of this, but it's still not perfected. I'm waiting on the magnacut mule

An amazing thing about the mule is playing with the blade material at a low investment. You could use it and probably double your money after you have your answer.

The elastic ceramic won't break when dropped - that's the other great thing about it. You can see the drop test around 2:30 minutes in:

Roman, what do you think of a HIC spydiechef? Maybe a lightweight FRN model with a back lock? I think the blade shape and function would do well with HIC.

Ok k knives I'd be willing to try it with an open mind. I could definitely see some clever applications for it. You got me thinking.

I've been using the elastic ceramic in the kitchen for quite a while now, and I would love to have a Mule in this material to test. I want something thicker that I can do some harder outdoors tasks with, to see how the material holds up.
