My favorite part is how well covered the blade edge is.

I like how the handle slims as it approaches the plunge line. I also favor narrower handles than most, and these looks trim and svelte to me. Go, Leg!

Bolster, have you tried putting in a 'finger groove'? I've put a conical groove in a couple handles at that point, and I find I really like it. I'm starting to favor 'mostly fat, but thin in the right places' for anything that involves repeating the same actions for a while. It seems to help me avoid hot spots.

Sorry fellas, I made a mistake and broke a piece on the butt end. Haven't had much MuleTeam or much of any spare time. Since this wood was such a gracious gift I wanted to give it my best. Hopefully I can finish it up soon.

Nicely done Larry,

Be proud of your work. When you do good, you know it. I can see it. I'm sure others can also see it. Any would be proud to carry and use it. Gail said to tell you it was beautiful.

I loved it! It was quite a challenge getting it down to the scale width, once I got the rough shape I did it mostly by hand. Got some dead arm after a while :winking-tongue

It's beautiful, Mr. Leg. I'd be proud to own such a stunning knife.

Did I miss where you mention what finish you used?

Thank you Bolster! I took it to 3k with dry and wet up to 16k. Then rubbed it with boiled linseed oil. I really need to finish it up!
