G-10 liner material works great, but is a bit harder to work than traditional vulcanized fiber liner, which can be cut with tin snips. If you work with G-10, wear a mask, as the dust isn't good for your lungs.

Vulcanized fiber can be found at most knifemaking supply houses, like here: https://usaknifemaker.com/spacer-bright ... erial.html.

Stay safe,

Mike

Oh, oh, this is the idea I have in mind! Though I'm thinking of the flat scales...how thick are your liners and where did you get it?
Scroll up for more detail, in short he made them from g10 sheets off Amazon, 1/32 is the thickness

I cut my vulcanized liners with trauma shears. But I also cut 1/32 G-10 with the same shears.

I find that the shears give me more fine control, to reduce the final adjustments.

I started with vulcanized liner, then switched to g-10 because I thought it might work better, then decided that vulcanized liners were actually better for most of my uses, and have largely gone back to vulcanized. Vulcanized is cheaper too.

The liners are from Amazon and they are 1/32",less than 1mm. They come in pack of 5-white, yellow, red, blue, black.
