It could make a great “Salt” knife
A mule is needed!!!
If it can’t be a standard mule, maybe a test mule if some kind.
On a light weight FRN handle it would be a light weight champ.

I'm not very artsy, but it seems to cut honey dew just fine. The knife is sharper than I originally thought just feeling the edge out of the box.

Cool
I am thinking a sheep’s foot mariner style lightweight FRN folder would be an ideal for this material. Maybe just put a elastic ceramic blade in the Atlantic Salt.

I wonder how it will sharpen? My wife uses some older regular ceramic knives in the kitchen and you really have to be careful sharpening them or you end up with a real chippy ragged edge. I found they tune up fairly nicely if you just go about 2 grit steps higher than you would with steel and use a very light hand for s longer time, using diamond plates of course.

It will be interesting to see how this elastic ceramic holds up to real world use but I am also very interested to see how it performs on good diamond stones.
Every day in my pockets, Wallet, Keys, Phone, Light, and Knife.

He is making shaving kits out of this material, so I hope it does lol. Probably the last razor you will ever need. I can’t wait to buy one.

I got the info directly from him and it is in the works but not a sellable product yet.
Just for perspective, the elastic ceramic cut 2,350 cuts of rope on Cedric and Ada while Z-Max cut 1000 till it started to hang up while cutting paper. This is a game changer. That should be a lifetime shaver and if you had issues I hope you could remove the blade and sharpen it and then give it to your son for his lifetime. Am I being optimistic? I don’t know but the tests are amazing. All this and no corrosive issues that makes blades dull much quicker than normal.

No, I can scrape a few arm hairs off, but it's not very sharp. It did seem to cut the rind with pretty low effort considering how the edge felt.

I like Pete's work but he only tests working edge sharpness and it's very subjective. I'm curious how its sharpened compared to traditional ceramic knives.

This is cool. I will have to buy a mule in this material.

I'd definitely try to get the Mule in this material.

I'll be very interested to see what the Catra numbers are like, if Sal can share them with us.
