Will there ever be a Rex45 Mule?

Sal/Mike/Taz,

Is there any chance we'll ever get a Rex45 Mule? I sure would love to have one.

I'd love to see one too. I have been extremely happy with Rex45 in other Spyderco offerings, and I'd love to have a good comparison with a Mule.

I always thought mules came before production models, but the S45V model proved that to be incorrect. There might have been others I have forgotten as well.

Yeah man, I agree 100%. Rex45 quickly became my all time favorite steel.

Hi Cobra,

I don't remember what steels are on the queue. I'll check it out.

Hi Cobra,

We have about 8 Mule Teams in house, made or in process. No Rex 45 planned at this time.

Sorry Angel, Alex, but I can't "Reveal" anything before its time.

Thanks for the update, Sal. I'd like to officially campaign for a Rex 45 mule.

I wasn't really expecting you to, Sal. All is good! :)

I was thinking REX45 mule is the missing number 30?

Unfortunately, based on Sal's response above that's not it. Hopefully, they'll change their minds and put it in the plans.

It's fascinating that you need to plan that far out... and can do it.

MT30 was in the latest reveal, it's going to be Zapp Z-wear. I would have liked to see Rex 45 before Z-wear since we already have Cruwear and PD#1 mules.

Good to know, Josh. Thanks for pointing that put. I missed it in the Reveal, and I'd have liked to see Rex45 before it too, but at this point, I'm willing to wait. I just hope Sal sees the interest here and reconsiders adding it to the mule line-up.

I’m a big Rex45 fan. Add me as an interested and willing buyer if a Rex45 mule happens.
