Can anyone tell me what angle the factory grind for Byrd knife? Also, how steep of sharpening angle can the Byrd metal tolerate?

I haven't tried measuring the factory angle but so far I like the slicing performance of 15 dps on 8cr. 15 dps + 20 dps microbevel might help with edge stability but i'd like to test 15 + 17 dps microbevel in the future.

Vivi regularly takes H1 down to 15 dps or even slightly less with a 20 degree microbevel. I have no hard scientific proof, but I suspect that Spyderco's 8Cr13MoV has a bit more edge stability than H1. May not be a popular POV, but Spyderco does 8Cr13MoV PE and SE in FFG whereas they do not with H1.
