These knives are horrible. We bought them as a gift for my dad, and when we got them out to use them at his house, the santoku knife could not even cut a potato. The knife was so thick it actually broke the potatoes, leaving a lot of jagged pieces. I could have done better with a butter knife! It could not slice them at all. We will be returning them as fast as possible. Beware of cheap knives!
