New Wings first impressions

#1

I picked up a new "Wings" this week and am quite pleased.

The fit and finish are really good for an inexpensive knife. Its a really big knife to accommodate both blades, but they provide a pouch.

The little Ladybug took up residence in my pocket a while ago and got me thinking differently about serrated edges...

The Wings is the only Spyderco/byrd I've had to send in under warranty, because my first example had a warped handle. The replacement's better, but it's still lacking on F&F. Shame, because the Wings Slipit is high quality for the price and I was expecting the same. I also keep comparing it to the C-44 Dyad, which comes in a much less bulky package, so the Wings doesn't get much pocket time from me.

That's a bummer. My particular example was put together properly.

Hi Shumila,

Welcome to our forum.

We're considering it, but it is a challenging model. To which Wings model are you referring, the large linerlock or the smaller slipjoint?
