Hi guys, I recently purchased a Robin 1 and crossbill both SS , both had no clips, I’ve purchased 2 clips but I can’t work out what screws they use as I’ve tried a few from other knives and there either too big or to small, does anyone know what I need to order , thanks

Help with clip screws on Robin and Crossbill
Re: Help with clip screws on Robin and Crossbill
So the screws from the crossbill are very tight in the robin ? Are the robins screws slightly smaller or different thread ?

Re: Help with clip screws on Robin and Crossbill
I found the screws in my Meadowlark tight coming out; there appeared to be glue.
Interestingly, the deep carry clip I was using on my Para 3 (a Lynch clip I believe) would not accept the screws from the Meadowlark (I was planning to simply swap clips). A quick glance led me to believe the screws were fully interchangeable. Now I am left wondering: is the Lynch drilled to tighter tolerances, are the screws a different size, or was the glue the culprit?
At least the Meadowlark's clip seems to fit on the Para 3.

Re: Help with clip screws on Robin and Crossbill
The Para 3 uses SAE 2-56 clip screws.
I have no personal experience with them, but I suspect the two Byrds being discussed here use either M2 or M2.3, and both could easily be mistaken for 2-56.

Re: Help with clip screws on Robin and Crossbill
Do you happen to know, are M2 / M2.3 common on Spyderco models (clips) from Asia? Or are these sizes just very similar in size to 2-56? I need to buy a few screws, and my knowledge is small.
Re: Help with clip screws on Robin and Crossbill
Those are the only clip screw sizes I've ever personally seen used on non-Japanese, Asian made Spydercos.

Re: Help with clip screws on Robin and Crossbill
On chinese spydercos it's M2,M2.3, M2.5 and M3 (Tenacious).
I can check on the Robin and Hawkbill for you right now...
ETA :
- Robin G10 uses M2.3
- Byrd Hawkbill (sorry don't have any stainless byrds) uses M2.5.

In the collection : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.
