Private message problems.

Post by apollo »

I received a few private messages today but when i went to open them i always get the same message.

You are not authorised to read private messages that are on hold.

What does it mean and why do the notifications and messages disappear after i get that pop up?

Hi, apollo:
It sounds like you might need to clear out some of your private messages. Check the number of private messages in your inbox. If it's full, you'll need to clear some out before the new messages can be accessible. If that doesn't work, please post a screenshot of what you see, and I'll help you figure it out.

Look for this at the top of your inbox.

Aww, thank you, apollo! Please don't be embarrassed! It's easy to miss. I've done it myself. :relieved

I'm happy it's resolved.

Also, there is an optional setting in Private Messages to auto delete.

Private Messages... Rules, folders & settings... "If folder is full" •Delete oldest messages.

•"Do not accept new messages" is the default setting.
