problems with editing posts

#1

Post by bdblue »

I try to edit a post, I push the edit button, when I push submit it duplicates the post. Then I can't find a way to delete the post.

bdblue, I have this annoying habit of accidentally pushing the quote button instead of the edit button. You aren't by chance doing the same thing are you? I usually don't notice that I've done it until after I've posted a quote with the edits that I've made along with my original quote.

The edit button is the pencil looking one on the top right of each post.

Top right goes Pencil (edit), Exclamation point (report), Quote (Quote). Edit is only on your posts.

If you are hitting the pencil button, then editing, then hitting the submit button, then it might be an issue with the forum.

OK, but how do you delete the whole post??????
I go to the FAQ and it tells me that I can do it, but doesn't tell exactly how to do it.

On the old version of the software, there used to be a check box for deleting a post.

I don't see it on the current version of the forum software. That comment might be out of date!
