We successfully moved and updated the forum! Happy to be back! I've noted some new features below. If you find any issues or have any questions, please post them IN THIS THREAD.
Just did a 3D plot of the location of the Spyderco Head Quarters...humm...must be a nice scenery with 6000+ and 7000+ ft mountains.
I've been told that deer and elk can be seen from the HQ ... oh...the envy...I just look at highways and concrete :(
Some of you may know I am a Network/Server guy working in a hospital for the I.T. Department. I have been doing I.T. Related work for about 7 years now. Before that, while in the latter part of high school and college, I...
Man, this thing is really cool! I thought pliers that small wouldn't be that useful. Boy was I wrong  I've always liked the Micra, but now I don't know which I like better
Just feels weird not seeing the guy here... :( Did he return to his home planet or what? :p KIDDING Mr. crahen...I would not be a wise @$$ to a man with an Airsoft M4! :D
Just wondering what people are using and hoping to get some feedback on different products. I have been using a lansky kit for about a year. I started with the deluxe serrated kit, and just purchased some dimond hones the other night. I have never used it...
Today was not a good day at work. Officer Mazack was ambushed by a deranged inmate and stabbed in the head several times. The inmate then slammed the CO's head into the corner of a concrete wall. Mazack lost several teeth and when they brought him past on...
For some reason today, right before going to **** , i recalled a thread about The Best :spyder: For Throwing ...reached into my pocket, grabbed my Endura SE, opened her up...

This is really not about :spyder: (well, maybe as a comparision) but I just read that Victorinox (Swiss army knives) bought Wegner. Guess how many knives these two will built together every year...
There is no price :( but the closest one will get to...
This is kind of a dumb question i suppose, but has anyone come across or owned a stinger. Its a small plastic impact tool that is shaped like a T with a small crossbar at the center for your fingers to rest on. They usually sell for about $10. I recently...
Not that I would become a bladesmith, but simply to learn more about knives and their construction, I have always been aware of this Bill Moran course set offerred where I live. Funny how some people live next to a lake and never fish or utilize what is...

I can't believe it, but my daughter just turned a year old today. She's so much taller and has developed so many strengths and skills over the past 365 days, but she'll always be the little peanut we took home from the hospital to me. She outgrew her...
I found this map in a book of Edo in the 1600's. While looking around at the various Mon (Family crest) that belonged to the Daimyo, I noticed one that looked VERY familiar on the bottom of the map, along the coastline. Note that all of these...
Dear friends, the Knifemakers Show in Solingen draws near again.
The Show will be held on the 7th and 8th of May , as usual in the Klingenmuseum (blade museum) in Solingen. This is their page: click >>mehr in top right

It has been snowing here (in Ohio) since last night. Non-Stop. It really just needs to go away. For the last two weeks it has been 70-80 degrees outside and sunny. In just 2 days it is down to 29 degrees and cold and snowing....
I know many people have their “safe queens”, those knives that are bought more or less for the purpose of collecting, or the ones that have become so rare that you don’t dare using them in an effort to preserve them. Something along the lines of a 25th...
do you own.
In general I do not like most of their models but I do really like the griptillans.
I just got a OD D2 mini grip and a 550RT PE stonewashed.
I wish I could find out how many of the 550RT PE stone washed grips they made.It seems to be a very...

I have run into a cleaning and maintenance problem with a Spyder that I have not encountered before. I have a C-46 Bob Lum Tanto folder which has the black coated blade. I am not sure what the coating is on this particular blade but I am sure some of you...
I have just traded for a Spyderco knife featuring CPM-440V steel in its blade, but I really have no basis for comparison with other steels that I am better acquainted with. How does it stack up against VG-10 or CPM-S30V in hardness, edge...
Yeah!! Where is Jimmy Dean. It almost seems spooky without him. I really enjoy doing point/counterpoint discussions with the good brother. I hope he is all right. Does anyone know? Also I thought that the lady Simona was supposed to be back. I seen her do...
Hello. I hope I put this thread in the right place. I just wanted to say hello. Don't have a Spyderco yet but I have been reading as a guest and have taken in a lot of information. I have a Scorpius with SpyderEdge on the way as my first knife from...
Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how the two compared. My only experience with AUS-6 is in a CRKT and somehow I am guessing that is different than :spyder: 's AUS-6.
Thank you moderators for the ignore list. It is a blessing in these trying times. Thanks also to the forumites who do not give the trolls what they want. I hope they will leave if ignored. It is more fun in here without them. I have enough unnecessary...
I am in the process of desiging my own fixed blades. I have several sketched out, and have began to build a model of some so i have a more 3D perspective of them. I dont know how to forge, or know anyone who can so i have been carving them out of wood....
Over the past couple weeks I have been checking out a couple other forums. This was spurred on by there being less traffic on this forum. Probably because warm weather tends to give us better things to do than sit in front of a PC.
