Ok, it's not really Seattle, but when people hear Washington they think Seattle.
Anyway, what's up with the Gunting? I work for a large gun range and we sell a lot of knives but no Guntings for the last three weeks. Why? I can't get my hands on...
Hi can anyone tell me how many Guntings and Chinooks where produced?
Just curious since I have a numbered CHinook (the 1st to land in SA) and will be getting RamRods collectors piece Gunting & Trainer(Trainers been kept for me until I can afford to...
I will be in Colorado for the MBC seminar in August. Just wanted to know what is the legal blade limit for folders, if there is one? My home state has no limit on fixed or folders, as long as it isn't double edged. Thanks for the info.
Those of you with both of these knives or perhaps those who have used them... Does the Police model cut as aggressively as the Military w/ both in serrated form? Is it close?
Ever thought about a nice Spyder block for the kitchen knives.I'd order the whole set.I just don't want my spydies in a drawer, how inhumane, and the soon to be wife asked me about some good kitchen knives.I told her Spyderco only or I'll throw them...
What is your opinion on the Benchmade A.F.C.K. for self defense? Normally I wouldn't consider another brand, but I like the size, shape, and looks of it. (it also has the spyderco trademark round hole)
I was wondering what all of you prefer, serrated, or plain blades. Please tell me why too if you could, I'm trying to convince my dad that Serrated blades are just as good as plain blades.
Hi everyone! Well since I can't find a replacement for my lost Calypso Jr. with MICARTA handles, I thought I would treat myself to an upgrade. I think that I may purchase a Bob Lum Chinese. What is your guys opinions on this model?!?!
Any idea what new things are coming out on preview at the BladeShow 2001? Is the ATR ready by this show? Lum Tanto and Darndo? Perrin Bowie? Meerkat? Temperance? Salsa? Would appreciate your kind feedback! And yeah, to all those...
I was thinking since Spyderco has some of its blades made in Seki, Japan, it might not be impertinent to ask if Spyderco has thought of opening up another plant a bit further East, like Penang, Malaysia.
First off I want say this a great forum. When I first learned about the Gunting in a knife magazine I went searching for information on it and this forum is just full of information. I ordered the video series from George Denson kenpoman and I have to say...
I generally cut rope, fabric, gaff tape, etc. One hand opening is very important, but what other factors should I consider? Would you recomend a plain or serrated blade? What kind of handle should I go with?
Sheesh this is driving me bloody insane, been waiting so long and still no gunting down here, all I can do is look at the pretty pics and rave reviews and use my limited imagination.
Hope these blades get here soon, been waiting for months now
Hi, guys, I got the Chinook 2 weeks ago, probably the first one BOUGHT in Croatia. Wonderful knife, a real tank. Very slight vertical blade play (as usual with lockbacks, Sal explained), otherwise really exciting knife.
It is pretty much impossible to get an old aluminum Cricket and supplies for the carbon fiber model are dwindling. I know that last winter Sal asked forumites if they would be interested in a alimite or colored FRN version.
Just received my first Spyderco knives (this time around) and to my surprise they are Guntings! When ordering I used the wrong item numbers by mistake thinking I was ordering another Spyderco knife (mentioned in a thread I posted here yesterday), but...
I have a Shabaria coming in the mail anytime now. I'm really excited. does anyone else have one? I've never actually seen of held one before, so I'm a little nervous but i'm sure it will be awesome. this is my first custom knife, first spydie with a liner...
I just purchased a Spyderco Delica 2 so I'm asking A LOT of questions just to be sure I bought a pretty good knife. So go easy on me, just a few more days before it arrives. Right now I have a couple of questions for everyone.
I have had my Wegner Mouse for a couple of weeks now. It is very nice. I love the blade shape as my forefinger lays across the top of it for very controlled cuts. The VG-10 is amazing. It is a beautiful knife.
Hi forum, the pin that holds the blade on my zytel native has come loose and is causing the blade to rock back and forth, have any of you experinced this and did spyderco, repair it or what?
I finally found some neck sheaths for Spyderco knives and want to get one. I carry a Delica 2. The problem is the sheath only comes in for the Delica. I was wondering if the Delica 2 is the same as the original Delica?
Wow! I just got the lum chinese folder (the green one), words cant describe this knife it looks funny in pictures but is like no other, feels good in your hand, and has a silky smooth oper. Buy this knife now.
