Spyderco has produced thousands of marketing assets over the past 40+ years. We’ve learned that many of our customers have kept old catalogs, old ads, brochures, and flyers. We would love to be able to include them in our historical archive, and we’re...

SE are the bees knees and you need to get with the program. Just as with PE knives, not all SE knives are created equally and different combinations perform better than others. Towards the end there's a bit of why I'm bothering with all this if...

Spyderco is deeply saddened to announce that our European Sales Representative, Jurphaas van Rietschoten, passed away on April 22, 2022. A native of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and a retired Chief Master Sergeant/Warrant Officer in the Royal Netherlands...

This forum has some of the most kindhearted people that I have ever met . So many of you are always willing to help someone in need. It is for that reason that I felt I had to post this.
Recently there was someone who posted about challenges they were...
I’d like to thank all of you for the great information on the issue mentioned. My primary purpose for the thread was more to raise awareness that it is a problem and hope that just the greater awareness would help...
There has been some discussion and fair amount of frustration on the question of Spyderco choosing not to ship internal parts. The subject is far more complicated than it might appear on the surface. Some of the questions...

Every week I see some really great pics on this forum so I thought we could have a weekly competition. The competition will last from Monday to Sunday and the winner and runner up will be announced on Sunday evening. The winner will be the judge for the...
Who else is excited about the Damasteel Urban?! This is one of my favorite clip-less folders in the bottom of my pocket, and I can’t wait for the matching UKPK.
I plan on polishing the scales on this one too, like my S90V version.
Based on my curiosity about reducing the blade length on another knife I experimented with changing the profile of the spine on my 20CV Delica Wharncliffe. I am actually pleased with the results. Pro tip to anyone looking to mod a blade by hand with no...
I was wondering if you use the forward fingerchoil on your para's. I do not use it on the PM2 but do on the para 3. What are the intentions of the design? What are your thoughts?

I am new to the forum, Spydercos, and folding knives in general. Recently, I made my first thread here asking about buying a Para 3 LW as a good first knife…
I really like Spyderco's texturing on their FRN. On knives with 2.75 and larger blades I love the bi-directional texturing. That stuff really anchors a knife into my hands and it is not harsh and it does not create hotspots for me.

Hi everyone. I'm not the most experienced when it comes to exotic steels like Maxement for instance. I'd be interested to hear what steels everyone around here likes.
As forward thinking and innovative a company as Spyderco is, it cannot be all things in the knife world. Known predominately for its Spydie Hole, tall leaf designs, thumb ramp humps, and 50/50 choils but I wish that periodically they would step outside...
I think I’m finally coming around to the “no choil” camp.
My first experience with Spyderco was the Stretch, and the next was the Dragonfly. My most-carried knife over the past 10+ years has probably been the Paramilitary 2. All of these designs make...

Post about your sharpenings. Brand, grit, abrasives, grit progression, desired edge finish, decision making in sharpening, whatever you want. Might be interesting to see what people use for certain tasks, and will give insight into the results of others'...
Can you fine folks give some advice on reducing the blade length on an LC200N blade manually using stones? Which stones would work best? Work from the spine to the tip, etc? This would be on a Pacific Salt 2 3.76 inch knife and I would like to take...
How’s it goin everyone! New member here from Canada . Just starting my spyderco collection! I been using the endura 4 for about 10 years now. Recently just decided that I like knives and this would be a fun hobby lol so I got myself a ladybug 3 salt and...
I've never owned a Lum Chinese Folver, but I do have an Astute. It's one of my favorite knives, but what few gripes I do have with it seem to be answered with the Lum. Less belly, no thumb ramp, maybe a bit of...
Just look at that size to weight ratio! I thought the FFG Pacific Salt was impressive, but this looks like it could be the new king of large, lightweight folders.
Better edge to handle ratio than the Stretch 2, much better size to weight ratio, and a...

Recently I launched a thread asking you folks which 3 of the older models you all would like to see in a Sprint Run. The one model that just kept coming up over and over again was the C-60 Ayoob model. It just makes perfect sense to take a hard look at a...
Hello all, I carry a Manix 2 in S30V. I live on a farm, Hunt, clean game, fish, camp. I am wanting to buy a para 2. I’m always using my knife for something. This time I would like to improve on the blade with this purchase from the S30V. Edge retention...
I was recently on a road trip and had zero intentions of acquiring another pocket knife, but when I rolled into Bishop, CA and saw signs for the Knife Joker shop, I decided I had to stop in (there are no dealers near to where I live so in general, it’s...
Im starting this thread as an easy way to track my own findings/uses, and to maybe benefit others on the fence about which “big” Native brother to purchase.
I’ve always liked slicey knives for my folders and left the “hard” use up to my fixed blades....

I have a Spyderco fish hunter strapped to my left shoulder and a native 5 salt attached to my lower right side of my life jacket. I was jigging my fishing rod and didn't notice that my rod kept bumping my knife up out of the pocket. Eventually it popped...

So… what’s the deal with blade centering on the Chinese models? I have a Tenacious and a Resilient, and both have the exact same off-centeredness, about 60% favoring the show side. It seems weirdly consistent, and it can’t be adjusted out, even by making...
Although I’ve been a Spyderco fan for years, I’m just now getting to the point where I plan on breaking down and cleaning my knives. I watched Eric Glesser’s (super helpful) video about maintaining the Shaman, and had a question for the more seasoned...

- Blade centering seemingly is one of the main things many people check when getting a new knife and are disappointed if it is not 100% perfect.
- Also, reviewers on youtube (actually most times first impression guys ) put high value on the centering of...
