Spyderco Counterfeits, Clones, Replicas, etc. A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.
Hey, everyone:

Spyderco has produced thousands of marketing assets over the past 40+ years. We’ve learned that many of our customers have kept old catalogs, old ads, brochures, and flyers. We would love to be able to include them in our historical archive, and we’re...

SE are the bees knees and you need to get with the program. Just as with PE knives, not all SE knives are created equally and different combinations perform better than others. Towards the end there's a bit of why I'm bothering with all this if...

Spyderco is deeply saddened to announce that our European Sales Representative, Jurphaas van Rietschoten, passed away on April 22, 2022. A native of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and a retired Chief Master Sergeant/Warrant Officer in the Royal Netherlands...

This forum has some of the most kindhearted people that I have ever met . So many of you are always willing to help someone in need. It is for that reason that I felt I had to post this.
Recently there was someone who posted about challenges they were...
I’d like to thank all of you for the great information on the issue mentioned. My primary purpose for the thread was more to raise awareness that it is a problem and hope that just the greater awareness would help...
There has been some discussion and fair amount of frustration on the question of Spyderco choosing not to ship internal parts. The subject is far more complicated than it might appear on the surface. Some of the questions...
Alright, a little tongue and cheek. Sunday Funday!
Seeing a lot of Dream Spydercos and Perfect Spydercos. I was revisiting yet again the handle design of these models. The Endura (substitute Pac Salt) is my favorite working knife. No where near pocket...
I love my Manix 2 and XL knives. I'm hoping Spyderco will do some new updated versions with high end blade steels and handle materials. Maybe even do a mini me Manix version. 😅

In your opinion, what's the closest to perfection Spyderco folder? By which I mean: There's little additional refinement possible. A folder so refined that, if you add to it, you start taking away.
For me, it's easy: The Caly 3 and 3.5 seem nearly...

In a quite recent post Sal said this:
I made the FRN version because I felt there was a market for a less expensive utility version. This also offers opportunity for colors, exclusive variations and who knows what else. I'm currently testing a...

… on my ear!
Yep. Just like the gag where someone gets a phone call whilst ironing laundry, I am that guy! , now sporting a cut ear because I was fiddling with my Ikuchi when answering the phone.
No, I am not going to post a photo, but do feel free...
I like the sage 5 LW, it has me more intrigued than any knife for a long time. What do you think the possibility of K390? All the current K390 offerings are back locks with the exception of the BBS PM 3 in K390.
I just heard from Heinie Haynes that Spyderco has stopped making exclusives because of COVID. I was told there likely will not be anymore HH Exclusive UKPK. :'(
I want one, but everytime I started to buy one something came up demanding money elsewhere....
Before I begin tinkering, I'd like to ask if it's possible to change the CPM S110V blade on the UKPK Lightweight (with FRN handle) over to the standard UKPK with G-10 handle?
I have both the original black G-10 model and the newer red...

I love my crucarta PM2 except for one thing that's a show stopper. The pivot screw keeps coming loose and backing out a good couple millimeters. I've tried removing it, using loctite, and reseating it, but it still comes loose. I think part of that is due...
It is very frequently reported in the knife world that the Sage 5 LW does everything the Para 3 LW does but better. I've been carrying and using a Para 3 LW for the last 6 months and this knife has genuinely been the knife that has killed my desire to buy...

Deacon had a good idea about the casual bombshells Sal drops in seemingly random threads: feel free to add them to this thread so we can see them in all there glory together:

After searching Forum archives on S90V steel I have come up with 2 attributes. One, it is hard to sharpen. Two, it holds an edge. In my experience, if you have diamond rods for your SharpMaker, S90V is NOT hard to sharpen. What really surprised me was...
I received my Pacific Salt 2 3.76 inch today. I reduced the length by approximately .25 inches to make certain it would conform to my state’s laws on blade length. I used the suggestions from the fine folks from here at the forum to do so and am overall...

Well, I guess I have to get one now that I am out of excuses.
Other than being FFG, This is probably the best version I could ask for.
Thank you MJ

Hi, new member to the forum and have a quick question...
I've carried a Delica 4 for many years, along with a few Benchmades, and am looking to add to my (very) small collection.
I really like the side locking action on some of the knives I have, so...

Post about your sharpenings. Brand, grit, abrasives, grit progression, desired edge finish, decision making in sharpening, whatever you want. Might be interesting to see what people use for certain tasks, and will give insight into the results of others'...
