Spyderco has produced thousands of marketing assets over the past 40+ years. We’ve learned that many of our customers have kept old catalogs, old ads, brochures, and flyers. We would love to be able to include them in our historical archive, and we’re...

SE are the bees knees and you need to get with the program. Just as with PE knives, not all SE knives are created equally and different combinations perform better than others. Towards the end there's a bit of why I'm bothering with all this if...

This forum has some of the most kindhearted people that I have ever met . So many of you are always willing to help someone in need. It is for that reason that I felt I had to post this.
Recently there was someone who posted about challenges they were...
I’d like to thank all of you for the great information on the issue mentioned. My primary purpose for the thread was more to raise awareness that it is a problem and hope that just the greater awareness would help...
There has been some discussion and fair amount of frustration on the question of Spyderco choosing not to ship internal parts. The subject is far more complicated than it might appear on the surface. Some of the questions...
I just picked up a KnifeCenter exclusive Endela with Pakkawood scales and Hap40. The knife arrived with significant scratches on the ricasso which don’t show up as well in the photo as they appear in person. I wouldn’t mind this on an FRN knife that was...

Post about your sharpenings. Brand, grit, abrasives, grit progression, desired edge finish, decision making in sharpening, whatever you want. Might be interesting to see what people use for certain tasks, and will give insight into the results of others'...

Better steels ? More handle colors and materials ? It seems to me that these UK friendly slipits are quite popular allaround and for all the good reasons. They are very practical, safe enough in opened position, they look good, legal almost everywhere and...
I was fortunate enough to buy a new old stock Native 5 Lightweight from New Graham Knives. The knife was made in 2016 according to the box. It is a fully serrated black bladed model with a CPM-S35VN blade.
What “test” do you do to confirm an acceptable level of sharpness? Push cutting magazine paper? Push cutting newspaper? Shaving? Hair whittling? There are many ways to confirm varying degrees of sharpness, so what do you call “sharp enough” to suit you?
After searching Forum archives on S90V steel I have come up with 2 attributes. One, it is hard to sharpen. Two, it holds an edge. In my experience, if you have diamond rods for your SharpMaker, S90V is NOT hard to sharpen. What really surprised me was...

Every week I see some really great pics on this forum so I thought we could have a weekly competition. The competition will last from Monday to Sunday and the winner and runner up will be announced on Sunday evening. The winner will be the judge for the...
What do you all think about a UKPK, with linerless G10 in that wonderful mineral blue color, in SPY27? I am first in line for that! Wonderful knife, wonderful color, wonderful scale material, wonderful steel. (For that matter, frn would be okay, just that...
I just heard from Heinie Haynes that Spyderco has stopped making exclusives because of COVID. I was told there likely will not be anymore HH Exclusive UKPK. :'(
I want one, but everytime I started to buy one something came up demanding money elsewhere....
Hi.
I love my Spyderco PM2 CPM 45REX in Copper. But it's a bit slow when opening and closing. I can flick it open with my thumb and finger and reverse. But what I would like, is to let it fall down into closing,,, maybe also with opening, pushing the...
This is showing up on the bay... DLT exclusive? Haven't heard about this one yet but admittedly am out of the PM2 loop. Also the Endela SE and PE is also on the bay

In a quite recent post Sal said this:
I made the FRN version because I felt there was a market for a less expensive utility version. This also offers opportunity for colors, exclusive variations and who knows what else. I'm currently testing a...
There a lot of great steels out there, but I seem to be gravitating to 20CV in my Watu lately.
I have other knives in the steel but the Watu just seems to cut better (for me). It could be the blade thickness and the thin grind, but it doesn't matter, I...

Deacon had a good idea about the casual bombshells Sal drops in seemingly random threads: feel free to add them to this thread so we can see them in all there glory together:

What are your predictions, wish lists, etc. for Spyderco Reveal No. 10? I know I'm looking forward to the next one, and last year's second reveal was released around this time of year. The second half of the year could be exciting around here and there...
A recent discussion on one of the forums (I think it was BF) about the wear properties of liner locks got me thinking about what type of steel is used in lockbars, liners etc (this may be a basic question to those who are experienced in...
