I was just at my local dealer and saw that they have a set of sleeves for the Sharpmaker stones that are triangular and open along the back edge. They appear a bit concave in shape and are said to be diamond coated. Does anyone have these? Do they...

I want to buy a Spyderco knife for my wife. She is lefthander.

Opening left hand is ok but she would like

knife with serrated blade from right side.

Her tip is Rescue Orange Zytel Handle serrated edge.

In a earlier post i said the steel in this model was A-2, it actually is G-2 stainless. Does anyone know how brittle this metal is? i'm trying to thin the edge down. Ron

I was just reading up a bit on the Spyderco history when I noticed that in 1978, sharpeners were introduced. Then there was a lull.

Nothing happened until 1981.

New products were introduced every year until 1984, then 1985 and 1986 nothing again....

It's a wonderful day when a new arrives. I received my G-10 Bob Lum Tanto today. I is the first folder I have had with a Liner Lock but it is very secure. The G-10 handle is awesome (My first experience with G-10 also). My wife's expression when I took it...

I am one of those who are impressed with the Spyder-Edge because of its improved cutting performance with its one large and two small serrations.

A lot of knife users prefer the plain edge. Some prefer the combo edge.
