Spyderco has produced thousands of marketing assets over the past 40+ years. We’ve learned that many of our customers have kept old catalogs, old ads, brochures, and flyers. We would love to be able to include them in our historical archive, and we’re...

SE are the bees knees and you need to get with the program. Just as with PE knives, not all SE knives are created equally and different combinations perform better than others. Towards the end there's a bit of why I'm bothering with all this if...

This forum has some of the most kindhearted people that I have ever met . So many of you are always willing to help someone in need. It is for that reason that I felt I had to post this.
Recently there was someone who posted about challenges they were...
I’d like to thank all of you for the great information on the issue mentioned. My primary purpose for the thread was more to raise awareness that it is a problem and hope that just the greater awareness would help...
There has been some discussion and fair amount of frustration on the question of Spyderco choosing not to ship internal parts. The subject is far more complicated than it might appear on the surface. Some of the questions...
After searching Forum archives on S90V steel I have come up with 2 attributes. One, it is hard to sharpen. Two, it holds an edge. In my experience, if you have diamond rods for your SharpMaker, S90V is NOT hard to sharpen. What really surprised me was...

Hi, new member to the forum and have a quick question...
I've carried a Delica 4 for many years, along with a few Benchmades, and am looking to add to my (very) small collection.
I really like the side locking action on some of the knives I have, so...

Post about your sharpenings. Brand, grit, abrasives, grit progression, desired edge finish, decision making in sharpening, whatever you want. Might be interesting to see what people use for certain tasks, and will give insight into the results of others'...

… on my ear!
Yep. Just like the gag where someone gets a phone call whilst ironing laundry, I am that guy! , now sporting a cut ear because I was fiddling with my Ikuchi when answering the phone.
No, I am not going to post a photo, but do feel free...

Hi everyone. I'm not the most experienced when it comes to exotic steels like Maxement for instance. I'd be interested to hear what steels everyone around here likes.

Well, it finally happened to me, I broke a knife. I was pressing down on some soft Braunschweiger and *ting* the Z-cut snapped at the hole. If these are going to be run so hard, then it's best to avoid putting the hole in the blade. I'll not be replacing...
There are times when I have to cut through substantial amounts of packing tape to open and break down boxes/packages.
The adhesive and bits of tape gunk up the edge and blade pretty quickly making it get progressively more difficult to cut....
My cousin is negotiating on this etched Rookie. Said to be etched by a Spyderco employee.
So now I'm interested in any info about this and other models laser etched. :cheap-sunglasses

Most of us are owning more then one knife and watch.Lets see the combo you realy love.
For me is the D4 and classic G Shock.
P.S.for the lucky ones who are enjoying the 2nd amendment from the most great Constitution on this planet- feel free to add your...
I really like Spyderco's texturing on their FRN. On knives with 2.75 and larger blades I love the bi-directional texturing. That stuff really anchors a knife into my hands and it is not harsh and it does not create hotspots for me.

Recently I launched a thread asking you folks which 3 of the older models you all would like to see in a Sprint Run. The one model that just kept coming up over and over again was the C-60 Ayoob model. It just makes perfect sense to take a hard look at a...
I was wondering if you use the forward fingerchoil on your para's. I do not use it on the PM2 but do on the para 3. What are the intentions of the design? What are your thoughts?
I've never owned a Lum Chinese Folver, but I do have an Astute. It's one of my favorite knives, but what few gripes I do have with it seem to be answered with the Lum. Less belly, no thumb ramp, maybe a bit of...

Although I’ve been a Spyderco fan for years, I’m just now getting to the point where I plan on breaking down and cleaning my knives. I watched Eric Glesser’s (super helpful) video about maintaining the Shaman, and had a question for the more seasoned...
Hello all, I carry a Manix 2 in S30V. I live on a farm, Hunt, clean game, fish, camp. I am wanting to buy a para 2. I’m always using my knife for something. This time I would like to improve on the blade with this purchase from the S30V. Edge retention...
Based on my curiosity about reducing the blade length on another knife I experimented with changing the profile of the spine on my 20CV Delica Wharncliffe. I am actually pleased with the results. Pro tip to anyone looking to mod a blade by hand with no...
Sorry if this is an oft repeated topic. My search didn't turn up much..
So my Tenacious had a screw back out and get lost somewhere. How can I get a new one? I don't really want to send the whole knife in for warranty. Is there a simpler solution?
