Can we please clear this up. Am I right in thinking that the carbide tip only protrudes when you squeeze the blade in? Is it spring-loaded or do you have to hit the glass with the knife?
I am a firefighter and have been very impressed with the glass...

After reading the story of the climber that cut his arm off with a knock-off Leatherman, I could not bother thinking, what if he had a choice as to which knife he could have brought with him? What spydie would you use if stuck in this situation?
Sal, is Spyderco looking into the LM1 from LiquidMetal Technologies? The info I've seen was very positive and the ability to produce Near Net Fabrication of blades looked like it could be great for a Spyderco.
I have had trouble using my spyderco file sharpener because the resulting blade is not that even. I guess my question is: Will this be the last sharpener I will need to buy? Do I need any other accesssories to get that laser sharp such as polishing cloth....

Attention collectors and fanciers of the Hunter model... ebay has a SS CE model listed. Not something I'm interested in, but I'm betting someone around here might be.
I am what I am, and that's all that I am ....Popeye
