Spyderco Counterfeits, Clones, Replicas, etc. A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.
I oil all my knives with 'dry silicone lube and generally don't have problems with minor corrosion or staining. (K390 has been fine for me, and is less stainless than Cru, no? It's has nice patina, but never rust)
It may be time for a dedicated thread to Sal's fantastic story drops. A place to reference them all. Here are some recents. I will try to find as much as I can, but if you know of some, please drop them here.
Every week I see some really great pics on this forum so I thought we could have a weekly competition. The competition will last from Monday to Sunday and the winner and runner up will be announced on Sunday evening. The winner will be the judge for the...
I love my Delica but miss the fidget factor of the compression lock PM2? Is there a Spyderco in the D4 size with a compression lock? Or at least similar fun factor to a PM? Thanks!
PS and if it came in a Salt version, I’d be smitten!
I've been looking for years and I'm starting to give up hope. I desperately want a Fish Hunter. It's my grail knife but it seems to be impossible to find. Nobody seems to be able to help me find one. I'm hoping I'm wrong though. Can anyone help me?
I'm interested in a little genome project for the original Swiss-made C22 Walker. There are several variants, but it's really hard to determine from the archives and Wiki all of the total combinations and which...
New guy here. I have been a fan of the sage series for a long time and have been collecting them for years. I just ordered the last knife I was missing for this collection.
What do you all think will be the next knife in this series...
I’ve been absolutely blown away by how excellent the Jumpmaster 2 SE is at work, so I’ve started looking to see if I can find a larger H1/H2 fixed blade for use in place of my machetes and parang that I hack really thick but soft materials up with (think...
Are any of you guys using your Spydercos for boating and how are you securing them? I bought a Pac 2 Salt SE to leave on my boat but wondering if I should lanyard it to my wrist or rig up a float of some kind perhaps. I could zip tie it to the helm but it...
Hello everyone. I'm Mike Blue. I mostly lurk here but after a discussion with Sal, I've been asked to post this subject and collect the thoughts of everyone willing to share.
Those of you who know Sal, may or may not know that he shaved with a straight...
Has anyone tried adding more black to black G10 scales to make them even blacker? I have some 'Black 3.0' paint that I know can be used to dye clothing - I was thinking about using it to dye a pair of PM2 black G10 scales.
I've been admiring the photos of the Lil' Temp 3 in the Spyderco Product Catalog, and noticed it has an unusually thick 4mm blade that's just under 3 long. Can someone explain the design to me -- I don't quite understand the logic of this knife, despite...
I am a huge fan of Spyderco knives. I have been carrying my Pacific Salt Black PE every day for about 18 months and have been very happy with it. I figured what better way to show my appreciation for such a great knife than to contribute something that (I...
Spyderco has made lives better and more efficient with their products. Personally I am so grateful for a serrated knife that is so handy on a pocket lip that can be opened quickly and easily.
It did not take long to decide on ordering this cup. This...
Sal has mentioned many times the past experience with S60V/440V and the steel not being able to achieve a useable high working hardness and also being miserable to sharpen at lower hardness.
It seems with CPM S60V, things have changed in recent years...
I'm warming up to the idea of a shorter blade and am exploring options, but haven't been paying attention to past releases...has there ever been a lightweight wharncliffe/sheepfoot Lil' Native?
The Yojimbo 2: An expression of Michael Janich's Martial Blade Concepts (MBC) edged-weapon system in stainless steel and fibreglass laminate, and arguably the most well-known of Spyderco's non-Glesser designs. As popular as it is, there is a subset of the...
I recently received my magnacut lw manix. so far ive been very pleased with it. One odd thing ive noticed though is the action is noticeably less snappy than my 4v manix lw. I was wondering maybe the magnacut one has some pivot differences that would make...
Last year I completed my Chaparral collection (all except the Blue Stepped Titanium - I tried several but just didn't like the annodization on any of them) and I'm hoping there are more new models on the way highlighting other handle materials. Also,...
I've got a date with the one point eight. And, hey I've been way for awhile. Canada had some forest fire evacuations, kids get some flu and what's one to do.... Anyway, the Catcherman has me excited enough to post up again.
Just saw in BHQ's Instagram post. Can't post pics because my image hosting's down. Wow! Cruwear and that sweet hollow grind. I just hope they fix the stupid detent and the lockstick issues.
Getting close to what I would consider my favorite show of the year. Is anyone attending this year on the forum? Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. April 12-14th.
I usually touch on this subject at least once a year. And we've gotten some really interesting results as to the models that folks would love to have in FULL SE. After all Spyderco really made their name and put themselves on the map by producing arguably...
I have three PM2s that I bought at different times over the past 5-10 years. I haven't carried any of them much, for one reason or another. I would like to start carrying them more, but when I got them out I remembered how the G10 scales never seemed to...
I like the Chaparral, quite a lot. It is super thin and gives more blade than the Dragonfly in almost the same size package. I personally would like to see a Chaparral slip joint with SPY27.
I think it is time to move on from XHP as I like SPY27 better...
For around a month, I've acquirred the Spyderco Swayback. I've tested a number of Ti RILs from Spyderco but this one is just marvelous !
I've carried and used it approx. a dozen time. It's my second highly classy knife, so it won't be a...
I have a Paramilitary 2 that I have had for a few years. I am considering buying a new Paramilitary 2 or maybe a Para 3, but I would like something cooler than average. How can I know when Spyderco is going to or has released P2s or P3s with something...
Due to significant increases in material and operational costs, earlier this year, Spyderco found it necessary to make adjustments to all our pricing policies. As part of this restructuring, we will also...
So the idea is a Bodacious sprint run in Magnacut and micarta, a way to sell the new shaman alternative model and the allure of magnacut perfectly heat treated by spyderco. The cherry on top though is the naming convention for the sprint run that struck...
I remember seeing a picture of a really cool Spyderco fixed blade on here once, it is a knife that I know is no longer in production. It was a midsized blade, micarta handle, I remember Sal commenting that it was intended to be full on custom quality...
