I certainly hope so! I disassembled and greased the contact points with a really high quality synthetic grease to prevent future issue.

The Cold Steel liners are definitely a strength thing in the FRN handles. There was a definite shift in design philosophy between the new and old Voyagers.

eBay is really a tricky thing. I gambled on an older style Military recently, good deal, the seller sold surplus and didn't know what he had. Crossing my fingers that it isn't a fake even though it seemed to check out. I wish you the best of luck.
