Old military construction concerns

I've recently acquired an old model Military with the transparent nylon or polymer type washers. Also, a single liner and polymer/frn backspacer. Can these washers be switched out for a different washer provided by Spyderco in case of failure? I love the knife but this feature seems to facilitate th...

Re: Why did the market want heavier knives?

The Cold Steel liners are definitely a strength thing in the FRN handles. There was a definite shift in design philosophy between the new and old Voyagers.

Re: Failed Again

eBay is really a tricky thing. I gambled on an older style Military recently, good deal, the seller sold surplus and didn't know what he had. Crossing my fingers that it isn't a fake even though it seemed to check out. I wish you the best of luck.

Re: sheeple moment

I've opened packages for food and cigarellos with my Endura 4 HAP40 Mahogany on a trip in downtown Toronto and never even got a look. If you don't act nervous and you act like you're supposed to have it, chances are nobody gives a hoot. Actually, I met a guy carrying a Para 3 at the Victorinox store...
