Re: LC200N Caribbean
I think I read somewhere that the hardware on the Caribbean was also from LC200N. If so, would that eliminate the problem of rust forming due to contact with another corroding metal? If so, why not do that instead of coating the hardware, which is suceptible to wearing out and thus exposing the diff...

Re: Ideal Collaborations For Spyderco?
A collaboration between ESEE and Spyderco for a Candiru and an Izula in LC200N would be fantastic.

Re: LC200N Caribbean
Peter just finished testing the Caribbean models in LC200N. The first shipment just came in with the ceramic ball bearings. The plain edge tested well, about 30% better than plain edge H1. The serrated version tested about 4.8 times better than the plain edge. sal Corrosion aside <, 30% better than...

Yes, add jimping to the spine and choil. Already cut myself a bit because the finger slipped out of the choil.

Re: Lil Native what shall be the 1st Sprint?
LC200N with rust proof hardware (including the liners a la Caribbean), CF scales like the Sage 5, and CQI on the fingerchoil so that it does not stick out into the finger cutout.

Re: Salt Series
Para 3 with LC200N FFG and bright red frn scales with full rust-proof liners and hardware. Compression lock Lil Native with LC200N FFG blade, CF scales ala Sage 5, and full rust-proof liners and hardware.

Re: Any plans for a Lil Native LW?
I got the compression lock version and it is great. Looking forward to a sprint with LC200N and CF Sage 5-like scales. Both things in one version would be my ideal office knife. A lightweight version with LC200N and bright red or blood orange scales would be fantastic also.

Re: Trip to Italy and Knife laws in Italy
Thanks for all the info. Is opening food packaging and cutting fruit for a 4 year old a valid reason? I’ll probably end up buying an Urban or a Cadet then, though I am inclined to get the Cadet in case it gets confiscated (less expensive). I don’t get why a knife is prohibited but a multi-tool with ...

Re: Trip to Italy and Knife laws in Italy
I've spent several weeks in Italy in each of the last three years. I usually carry my UKPK or Urban there. No issues at all. I had a discussion with a police officer in Rome about the Urban, and he told me that there (Rome) it was legal to carry it around, but not to take it into historical sites (...

Re: Lil Native LC200N?
It’s not to use it while surfing. It’s to ise it at the beach, but I can’t leave it in the sand. At the beach, I use it dor cutting string, opening wax packaging, scraping wax (when I forget the wax scraper), opening food packaging, etc.

Trip to Italy and Knife laws in Italy
I am going to Italy for about two weeks with my wife and four year old boy. We’ll be traveling in the northern half of the country, mainly by train. What are the knife laws in Italy? Are one-hand opening, locking knives allowed? I’ll more likely than not need some type of pocket knife for opening fo...

Re: Lil Native LC200N?
Yeah, that Caribbean is unique, for sure. I would love to see a Lil Native Salt FRN, but I would prefer orange to yellow. Venom/zombie green would be nice, too, like on the USN knives. Yellow is okay, though. Since orange is already used in sprints and regular production models with other steels, h...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2018 Report
Spyderco should have shortened the blade lengths of the Alistair Phillips (3.54") and Techno2 (2.56") slightly to 3.49" and 2.49" respectively to make them legal in more jusrisdictions. Totally agree. The Techno 2 would have been a great office edc if the blade length was just s...

Re: Lil Native LC200N?
I am in. It had be awesome if it got the Salt treatment a la Caribbean (full rust proof liners and hardware), but not the Caribbean scale coloration.
