I like bright handles on the knives I use for yard work so if I set it down and forget where I put it, it's easier to find that way.

Anyone into "traditional" folders?

Hi, all. Hope everyone in the NE is safe after the storm. We just dodged it here in the D.C. area, thank God. It's fun to watch it come down, but no fun at all dealing with the aftermath (shoveling out, power outages, spotty road clearing, etc.). Anyway, enough of that. I'm interested in getting int...

I saw a Youtube video where a guy was testing the G10 Dragonfly on various cutting tasks. Used it to cut up some raw chicken breasts. It got the job done, but yikes!, what a mess! The knife, his fingers .... covered with chicken breast goo. Yuck.

I have two Saddlebacks. One a regular bifold wallet I tend to carry in my briefcase, and a small, flat credit card hold I carry in my left front pants pocket. Very happy with both.

Sounds like one of those things you don't get until you hold it in your hands. Thanks for the input, everyone. Parenthetically, though, I never said it was overpriced, I said I didn't understand -- based solely on seeing it on the Internet without ever actually seeing one in person-- why it was so e...

I think everyone's responses are entirely valid. It's just that there are other knives out there with carbon fiber scales and s30v steel for much less (Sage 1, Chaparral 1). I guess that's what I don't get. Is it the fact that it's a sprint run?

Pre-natal for me. Squeezed off my first few round in the womb. Mom's still pissed at me to this day. I think you already got some good advice, Tony. I have absolutely no expertise with firearms, but if your kids are interested, I would say go ahead a teach them firearm safety, etc. Boys in particula...

Thanks all for your responses. Interesting-looking little knife, but it's not for me. I was just curious if it had some super utility value not apparent to my inexpert eye. Sounds more like a cool, expensive little doodad. Again, not criticizing those who love it. Thankfully, we're not all the same....

Dodo flumoxes me.

I am being serious here, not trying to be a wiseacre. Can someone explain why I should spend upwards of $200 for a carbon fiber Dodo? I mean, it's a cool-looking knife, no doubt, and it looks like it rides in the pocket very comfortably, but it seems like a lot of dough for what is immediately obvio...

I posted a similar thread about a week ago. I sat flicking my Techno open mall ninja-style as I read your post. Practice, practice, practice. Also, because of the shape of the cutout around the Spydie hole, you gotta sorta flick your thumb straight up rather toward the 2:00 position as you would wit...
