Re: Most used VS favourite 🤔
Most used for me is also my favorite so I consider myself lucky. The Endura is not my only Spyderco but it is always on hand for use. My old arthritic hands seem to not have any problems and feel just right with the Endura. You can't carry something for 30 years and not get used to it. :)

Re: Overlooked, Obscure Models Deserving Of A Sprint Run?
What say you all? Joe, you have helped us get a few great knives that we might not have seen otherwise so I'll always pay attention to your posts. I really love the blade from the "R" model and would really like one in something nice. Maybe Cruwear-ish even. The perfect leaf shape blade I...

I couldn't get through and gave up after 20 minutes. Everything just locked up here and I had other stuff to do. My future daughter in law just got in from the Philippines and I didn't want to ignore her all day. :)

Re: Considering collecting M.Strider knives
It's mostly the same guys that bring that up over and over. They have been for years. I'm a vet and don't really approve of the whole stolen valor thing but neither am I going to try to sway others into not buying. If someone wants a Strider that is their business not mine. They build, or used to bu...

Re: Considering collecting M.Strider knives
I bought a SMF in CTS-PD#1 ( Cruwear made by Carpenter ) some years ago and never carried it or cut anything. It's still in the plastic baggie it came in. It's built very well and I have no issues with it other than it being too heavy and thick for me. The Endura is as thick a folder as I will carry...

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!
Mine came yesterday. It is pretty good condition and no problems with the edge. I like it and am glad I bought it. 4V is a good steel and the Goddard model is one of my favorite Spydercos. I have two old ones around somewhere. This will get more use than the old ones.

Re: Busse Combat P&L Statement
Yeah man, it's INFI. They actually discontinued SR101. I was a little shocked when that happened. But, is INFI modified A8? I've heard that it is and it isn't. Yes it is. I can't think of another subject that has caused so many arguments, threats, venom and pure contempt as that but it remains A8(m...

Good looking knife!
Are they still using A8(mod) Infi ? I really like that steel. In fact I have a piece of it put away I'm going to have made into a knife with someday.

You bought a used knife and sent it in for warranty? No chance I'd feel right about doing that but glad it worked out for you.

I really liked the blade shape from the R. It's great using and sharpening. Out of the three that is what stands out to me.

Re: CPM Cruwear chipping?
"Burned" or not, initial factory edges on more than a few of my Spyderco knives, in multiple steels and models, have been more fragile before reprofiling (to a lower angle mind you) than after. Who cares about blaming anyone? just accept that it happens and correct the problem by exposing...

Re: CPM Cruwear chipping?
Fair point, but the alternative is that people jump straight to heat treat problems which seems far less likely. My next choice is to think there is unreported/unknown use or cause of damage the OP didn't know about. Bad heat treats are also one of the things brought up regularly for all kinds of i...

Re: CPM Cruwear chipping?
I don't get this automatic default to "burnt edges" . We know the sharpening is done in a way that prevents it. I'd really like to see some proof that Spyderco has burnt edges. Sure I know in theory it can be possible with some sharpening jobs somewhere. I've seen it on one new knife in my...

Re: Whatever happened to BG42?
I was a Bg 42 fan myself and still like it. I seem to remember the BG 42 use as a premium steel for knives ending wasn't just the intro of S30v but was also partially due to it being difficult to purchase when needed and waiting times as well as a lack of effort by it's maker to work with knife make...

I'm waiting for mine to get here. Thanks for reminding me to get it Naperville. :)
Larrin is really making good for himself. It may seem strange but I feel pride when people from our community do well.

Re: Massad Ayoob II Model Maybe?
I think less is more. Unless Ayoob just has a new design just waiting to erupt and change knife design and use I'd say no. A tweak of a good but not that special knife design would be just that. I think the second model was enough. Unless there is something we haven't seen yet. I have a drawer full ...
