Re: CS Exclusive Orange Paramilitary 2 DLC CTS-XHP
A big amen to that! A month and a half after release and there's still some of these ParaMilitary2 Black CTS-XHP/Orange G-10 left! Once again, the price ($175), black coated blade and okay steel are working against it. I dare say the BladeHQ ParaMilitary2 CPM-M4/Natural G-10 at $149.99 will sell out...

Re: Most Iconic Spyderco?
Actually (FWIW, which may not be a lot), when I think of "iconic" and Spyderco, I don't think of a specific knife, but the features that in my mind were the features that distinguished the early Spyderco knives: hole opener, lockback lock and a pocket clip.

Re: Most Iconic Spyderco?
There are so many but this to me is *the* knife that is the poster child of the brand. It may not be the most popular or get the most hype and posts about it, but to me it's like the old wise elder that the whole village looks up to. http://www.knifeworks.com/ProductImages/spyderco/sc07s.jpg If the...

Re: Where to buy replacement screws?
OTOH, there are only a small number of SAE miniature machine screw sizes in the range that might possibly be used by Spyderco. I would assume the same is true for miniature metric machine screws as well. So, finding a screw of the proper size should not be too much of a problem. Finding one of exac...

My wallet hates to agree, but you're right. They would have flown out the door (and onto eBay) at, say, $150. In the long run that's not good for anyone.jimmyjohnjohn wrote:Sounds to me like they were priced right. 30-60 day inventory depletion is about right.

Re: CS Exclusive Orange Paramilitary 2 DLC CTS-XHP
That is a pretty quick sell-through for 800 knives. :spyder: They aren't "sold through" yet? According to an earlier post (see below), there are ~10 pieces or less left. I think that qualifies as sold through, no? Not sure how I missed this topic.....luckily got an order placed but was to...

I bet Jeff is pleased with how these sold (and deserves to be). That is a pretty quick sell-through for 800 knives. :spyder: I hope that Jeff is pleased. I appreciate his efforts to give us some unique knives. And I still hope to see Orange Native5 with XHP in the near future. All I have to say is:...

Re: CS Exclusive Orange Paramilitary 2 DLC CTS-XHP
Are these seriously still available? Amazing. This has gotta be a record. PM hype officially dead? Pluses (orange; PM2) weighed down by minuses (coated blade; steel that is neither hot nor "super"; pricing generally perceived as somewhat steep compared to other sprints, exclusives and pro...

Re: Sonic Cleaners?
I've never tossed a knife in an ultrasonic cleaner, but I've used them on a lot of other things with great results - sounds like a reasonable plan. You probably already know the cautions, such as using either a cleaner sold for the purpose or something that can't harm anything that's going in. (For ...

Re: Why doesn't Spyderco sell replacement parts?
Yea, guns need to be cleaned and serviced or they explode on the user. Knives only rust and occasionally the lock fails if severely lodged with grime. There is a case for knives you can and cannot take apart. There are plenty of pinned slipjoints and lockbacks that have been kicking it for 30+ year...

Re: Why doesn't Spyderco sell replacement parts?
I understand what you are saying. It's just that it doesn't really make sense to go to the expense of sending the knife in and paying the fee to have you replace a part that I freely admit was lost due to my carelessness and then paying for you to return it to me. This will probably bring the bill ...

Re: cutlery shoppe pm2 collectible or user?
Exactly, and between the relatively high initial price and the second-lot overhang, I don't think prices are going to spike up on this one. So, to answer the original question, it's a user, not a collectible to try to make a profit on. Honestly, the explanation is that there are a lot of people on ...

Properly hardened 52100 in a C36 would be a dream come true.
Edit: it's listed as a sprint, not an exclusive. Did I miss an announcement or a casual bombshell?

Re: cutlery shoppe pm2 collectible or user?
They are already actively going for $225 on ebay right now, haha. Yeah.. I don't understand that one. I guess those people aren't aware it's not sold out yet. Honestly, the explanation is that there are a lot of people on eBay who are uninformed and uninterested in taking any action to become bette...
