He was probably amazed that he was able to sell it at all at that price. Are you guys just knife freaks with money to waste? Or do you seriously need a $400 knife to use as a tool? People laugh at me for spending $40 bucks on a delica..... I guess it's healthier than crack. Having just spent consid...

Me too. Think a flat ground G10 Police in VG10 with dual nested partial liners up front would be super. The dark blue Al used would be a fantastic color for it, quietly elegant and symbolic.

Yes, he is.
Nicky wrote:Wow 400 euro!!
Well that's only in the EU, would be more like 336 euro to Canada or the US. (I'm trying to talk myself into it as much as you Nicky) :D

Very, very nice! Kevin Wilkens has some very interesting designs. I like his work and have been trying to decide which model to order. Also think several, including the Ryback, would make excellent candidates for collaboration models. I say that even though I know I'd still have to spring for one of...

Good flick, but I just looked at that scene again and have to hope it didn't cost Sal too much, as it only got a couple seconds camera time in bad light.

Not a flame, just an more general addition to the excellent response Carlos gave on the specific issue of the 630. Your question includes a list of fairly dissimliar things, but the general answer is that you cannot trademark a general concept, only a specific and visually or audibly distictive inst...

Very nice group there Jeff! Use them in good health. The Stretch is a great knife and should look really elegant with ivory scales. What's your plan for the oval "clip pads"? Last week I sent the one I've been carrying for the last few months out to have the kraton replaced with brown canv...

I take it this is just a copy of a Spyderco (the seller doesn't even mention Spyderco). Does anyone know if this has been going on for long? Assuming that it's not yet another Byrd that Sal forgot to mention ;) it definitely is a ripoff of the round hole, and the design sure looks like a line...

Hey Spyderbros! :D Greetings from Malaysia.. Which is yer favourite FRN handle colour? Samo thinks Yellow is cool on the Pacific Salt. High-Vis or safety Orange is unmistakeable on the Rescue 93mm and Black, well, black is indespensible on most of Spyderco's :spyder: folder. I heard that there will...

Thanks guys! I'd never seen the point of the SS Kiwi. Now perhaps I do ..... A thing of beauty. Thanks Paul. Perhaps my age and experiences both colored my understanding of the SS Kiwi and led to my desire to dress one up a bit. The first decent knife I got as a gift, at about the age of eight as I ...

The latest addition to my Kiwi flock...

...arrived today. Flew in from the UK. Quite a feat for a flightless bird, actually. All stainless, with "faux bolster" engraving by Macus Hunt. Exquisite work, needless to say, its arrival made my day. My photographic skills don't do it justice, but I had to share.

Yeah, but what if theres more than one attacker? then youre stuck with a broken knife. My understanding of the design is that the point is used in a ripping, slashing manner, so if it were to break it would be rendered useless, much like a gun with only one bullet.the spyderhawk interests me, but i...

Santa Fe Stoneworks does excellent work. I have two of their Kiwis, one in malachite and one in dinosaur bone and a maquetry Dragonfly. In addition, I found a nice pair of small stag slabs a couple months ago, and talked Bill into putting them on a Kiwi for me. That one is in the works. As much as I...

All I can tell you is that your's is not unique. I have two LH PE CF Civilians, one is totally screw construction, the other uses two rivets for the backspacer and screws for the pivot and lockbar.

Hmm, one of those and my burgundy micarta Jester will make a nice EDC pair. Clay is right, if you read Sal's post the ZDP-189 Calypso Jr. will only be made in burgundy, the midnight blue will be used on the ZDP-189 Delica. That said, I also agree with Carlos' observation in that thread that using a ...

Yes, if you are not already aware of it, these two are NOT general purpose utility knives. They are optimized to be last ditch defensive weapons and are really not suitable for much else. The tips on both are paper thin and thus easily damaged. And if, God forbid, you should ever actually need to us...
