Re: question regarding factory seconds??

Now I'm really glad I never jumped on a second - I'd be sick to know I paid over double :( Maybe one day I can visit CO - 25 2nds would last me a few lifetimes :) Thanks for the info guy's ;) Don't get too down. Golden and his group were the first in and got some of the best deals. It's not like th...

Re: Help !! Need a push.

I love my BBS Domino and Lil Matriarch combo. The BBS domino is smoother than my original domino, and I've heard this from others as well.

I'd also point out that instead of dropping $200 on a 2013 Forum Native, you can STILL buy the 2015 native at 40% of ($95) from the SFO online.

Re: Spyderco Memorabilia

I don't own a lot of memorabilia, but these two are the most dear to me, and I'll never part with them. Both were gifts from Sal Glesser himself. I have several of the coins now, Sal was nice enough to hand out the Spydercoins to any Mil/LEO/EMS folks he met at the seconds sale. As always, my loyalt...

If you are lucky, sometimes you can get one or two from a kind employee at the Outlet. A long time ago they sold them but I don't think they do that anymore. I have a few that I enjoy playing with and trying to match to my knives.

I was looking for this in the SHOT videos, but didn't see it. Which video is it in, or does someone have a screenshot? I'm very interested in this knife.

Re: Native 5 FRN Lanyard Hole Manufacturing Problem?

Is the FRN just still stuck in the hole from the molding process? Sometimes you'll see that on other plastic manufacturing, where it just doesn't break clean. Could you just punch what's hanging on out the other side of the lanyard hole?

Re: Black Yojimbo 2

I'm not on the Facebook page to see what they ask for that, but anybody here could send one to Josh @ RazorEdge to have cerakoted, or one of any of the many other people with ability to coat out there... have seen him do Gayle Bradleys and Vallottons for FriarPhenn and they looked good. This is tru...

DLC Auto Collection

Well I finally found it (them actually). All I ever wanted was a DLC Citadel and it took me a good while to find the exact one I wanted, in the right condition and the right price. Amazingly, a few days after I found the small one, I found its bigger brother for an even better deal. My knife buying ...

Re: Black Yojimbo 2

He just posted on the FB that he's selling one today. Price is to be announced, curious what he asks. It's like a one-man self commissioned sprint, kinda cool.

Re: New PITS Blue Titanium

I held several of the satin ones at the Seconds sale. I could not believe just how nice they are, and how light the knife is. The quality is truly amazing. The satin one never tugged on my enough to justify the price, but these blues ones...wow. I may have to go for it.

Re: Costly Amazon Mistake for PM2?

Kristi has chimed in on this in the past. Spyderco cannot guarantee the authenticity of any knife shipped from Amazon, whether it is directly from Amazon or a third-party. They co-mingle their stock and many folks have also found that Amazon's return policies allows for unscrupulous folks to buy rea...

Re: Black Yojimbo 2

Saw this on the FB as well and thought they were just awesome. My old black-coated Police and black Endura 1 are both favorites of mine for this same reason. The dull flat black has a cool factor compared to the standard Spyderco DLC they use now which is pretty shiny (but still very nice). I also l...

Re: What's Next

I was surprised at how fast the HAP40 Delica came out after the Endura. Seki seems to be running smoothly. I'm thinking we'll see the HAP40 Strech and maybe even the DF before some of the other "big" ones coming out this year.

Re: Potential for Spyderco "front flipper" model?

Yes, the Exskelibur I has the front flipper or lip, but the II does not, just a little nail nick. I bought a Boker Exskelibur I Decade edition because I really liked the look of it (smooth CF, ano'd Ti liners, yeah!) and got a great deal from Massdrop on it. I've found on that knife, if the washers ...

Re: Sage 5 ... any news??

I'm very interested in the answer to this. I tried to get it out of some of the employees at the Seconds sale but got no answer. I have really been enjoying the Sage series. I found I prefer the Sage ergos and blade shape over the Chaps. I think it is fun to collect the series and was lucky to final...

Re: How are seconds marked.

Also for what it's worth: I have noticed that the exact location along the spine can change from side to side, up and down along the spine and in size. I have some older seconds that have very large, pronounced notches, while the knives I bought at this year's sale had very small, almost imperceptib...

Re: 2016 Spyderco Calendar Released

Just seeing if any of the contest winners have received their calendar yet. I havnt gotten mine. Nothing here. Living 20 minutes from Golden, I usually get stuff from the SFO fairly quickly but I'm sure the holidays slowed that down. I had so many family members who wanted a calendar I drove up the...

I saw that too. Love clever names.

Maybe shadow dog, or dark dog, or possibly even roughly "underdog"?

Re: Superleaf sprint run?

I've carried my Superleaf fairly consistently for several years now. For me, it was the perfect compromise. I have always loved the compression lock's design and use, but I am one of those heathens that doesn't like the PM2 but loves the Manix 2. So many threads get started about combining the best ...
