Re: Spine mods for function and repair

That's a great story and must be a better feeling! A few guys at the station are now looking into Spyderco Rescues.. I laughed because he said they want them like this one. I told him that would be some work but possible if they want to wait. Might push them to Byrd line as it’s easier to find. I’m...

Re: Forum Knife???

Sal, does a forum knife have to be “special” ? Can we just have a production knife that’s engraved? I think modern problems call for modern solutions. This could be a memento of how strained supply chains are right now. Not a bad idea. In another thread someone suggested offering Uptern’s with our ...

Spine mods for function and repair

Got these two off eBay. The Delica was tipped and the Rescue 93mm had gouging and rust on the blade. Overall I think I did them justice and breathed some life back into them. The Rescue with the finger groves is going to my Fire fighting brother. I think the Delica may find a home with someone who n...

It’s a Paramilitary 2, not a Military 2.
Thank you, I stand corrected

Para 2 Bowie?!?

Did anyone else see the Military Para 2 Bowie proto? It’s intriguing to me with a fuller and that grind!

Re: How to know if my new Siren is pre or post CQI?

Didn’t the CQI version have black hardware? My Siren has date code GU, which makes it pre-CQI, but it has black hardware. Perhaps you are thinking of the Spydiechef, which indeed got black hardware as part of its CQI. Sorry, you are correct I was thinking Spydiechef. My CQI siren has a relief bevel...

Re: Mosquito! The perfect pipe tool/pick!!

This would make a neat forum knife. I say that because I’ve known about these and never once seen one for sale on the myth that sal handed them out randomly at meets and shows. I’m sure the people who have them keep them close to the chest. Such a cool way to up cycle a product.

Re: What is the point of this notch?

I believe it’s a channel for debris to accumulate instead of effecting the lockup. It’s not a defect, all 4 of my paramilitaries have this. Of course they all have it haha, I'm questioning mine...which looks nothing like other PM2s, the bottom is real rough looking. Was wondering it mattered, that'...
