Re: Carry 2 knives? 3 knives? More???

Usually 2, unless you count my sharpened canines, plus squarehead on keyring. Air is always in the watch pocket, and something bigger in RFP or IWB. just kidding re: sharpened teeth tho, that might catch a stake through the heart out here!

Re: Rounded off the Positron

- hoimin: I sure do! I think my Positron is slightly faster on the flip, but mini-Southard makes up for it with its buttery silkiness. Good detents on both though.
- Thanks Darby!

Re: Rounded off the Positron

Thanks farnorthdan. Yeah, I would definitely recommend fondling one first - it definitely is a lot smaller in hand than I guesstimated, which is a plus for me, but could easily be a minus for some.

Re: Rounded off the Positron

- Abbazabba: I bought this used, and the previous owner had already opened that up a lil bit. I furthered the process a lil bit, and lock access is much better. - hoimin: thanks man, I used a dremel to remove most of the material, then finished w/ hand sanding, 80-2000 grit. - Holland, SpyderNut, Ev...

Rounded off the Positron

Got a Positron a couple weeks ago, and immediately wanted to smooth out the abrupt angles on the scales. Rounded off scale edges and blade spine, clip gone, now this thing feels amazing in hand.

Re: Selling used Spydies

+1 more for BF exchange - just bought the bullet a couple weeks ago and went gold - sold 6 folders, mostly spydies, within a day. Everything went smoothly. My only warning is that it's so easy it can readily usher in a new level of knife madness. Now that I've realized how feasible/painless the 'cat...

Re: New Chaparral in 2016?

So excited about the prospects of a new Chap! Thought I remembered spying on a forum thread here or on bf, with Sal discussing organic scale options for this next one, which I'm still hoping is still in the works! A gentleman slicer like the Chap is just crying for an organic scale option imho. CF C...

Re: Mantra or Mantra 2?

Yup, similar experience. My mantra came a few days ago, feelin smooth except when the blade came into contact w/ the detent ball, and the chalkiness would kick in. A lil nano oil on the detent ball, plus some good ole ocd flicky flicky, and she's smooth as silk now.

Re: Starting over?

Hey MM, I just sold a bunch of knives, mostly Spydies on bladeforums. First time actually thinning out the collection, felt good. 2 of the 6 buyers turned out to be local (one only 6 blocks away from me!) and now I have some new knife buddies too. plus loot for a new mantra and some lift tickets, so...

To piggyback on dplafoil's hybrid, how bout a Techno/Positron/Hap40Delica hybrid - contoured CF plus Ti for the lockside, flipper, w/ HAP40 blade steel. Boom.
