Re: Let's see those EDC Pens

Unlike knives, where I love all the variety and almost never carry the same knife everyday, this is my only pen.

Machine Era Classic (or Original) in Brass. Awesome, and super durable. No moving parts. Unobtrusive in the pocket.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

I got an email yesterday from Rob at National Knives. He said he lowered the price for the Watu to below the (already low) price I paid for it. So he issued a store credit to me for the difference. That's good CS if you ask me. When I looked up the Watu it was still showing as out of stock. I asked...

Re: Your running knife?

Pac Salt 1 in SE H1. Why? I originally bought a Salt 2 SE in LC200N for this purpose. But for the use case, longer is better. My use case is defense against loose dogs (or other wildlife), which to be fair has never been an issue even once in over 25 years of competitive running. But I do like havin...

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!

I have finally purchased a S2XL in Cruwear. What a knife! I've held off on this one for awhile because this is well outside of my comfort range price wise, and so I saved up to grab it. It helped that National Knives (one of my top few favorite dealers) was offering it on sale, and so I jumped on it...

Re: Larrin's New Knife Steel Book!

I requested this book for Father's Day from my wife, and she placed the order about 3 tenths of a second later (she's the best!). Glad to get it (hardback for me), but I gotta be honest, waiting is going to be tough.

Re: Comparison of Spyderco Back Locks from Seki, China, Golden, and Taichung

Fantastic post! Loved the analysis and pictures. One thing I notice is the different shapes of the cutout in the blade tang where the lockbar interfaces. The Native 5 is unique in that it's U shaped instead of a rectangular cutout on all the other models, regardless of origin (at least of the ones y...

Awesome post, and I really enjoyed the photos.
I'm a bourbon fan, but have not made the trip down to Kentucky. Definitely on my to do list.
I'm a big fan of some of the Maker's Mark private selection with the unique stave profile. Good stuff.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Picked up this used Pacific Salt on a whim last week. Cleaned it, sharpened it, dyed it "grey" which is nearly black, and played with rounding the spine. Will continue to play with mods on this one. Definitely enjoy carrying a corrosion proof and very tough model that already has taken som...

Re: ** 15v PM2 Alert Thread **

Indiana Knives still shows in stock to me. Not sure if that's a website/stock artifact or is real.
If real, I left it for someone else. I've got plenty of PM2s, and the Manix is good for me to test out 15V.

Edit: gone now
