Not long ago, I mounted a SpyderPac on my wall, and put all my knives in it. My wife said to my daughter, "Daddy's probably spent $500 on knives!" Hah, if she only knew... I just ordered a CF Stretch with ZDP-189. I think I'm winding down on Spyderco products for now. I have to wind down.

I'd be more likely to buy one if it were SE rather than PE, particularly since it's H1.

I used a new Emerson Wave Delica (C10PGYW) to help weigh down my SpyderPac and keep it from levitating off my closet wall.

I ordered an all-black PM2 from CS on Thursday, and they shipped the same day. It was scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, which likely meant Monday. But this Sat. a.m. I checked tracking just hoping to see that it had made it to Macon, but instead see that it's "out for delivery" . I th...

I'm not claiming to have some deep understanding of the Spyderco philosophy, but from what I gather, it includes the notion of "form follows function" and the idea that one size does not fit all. That's why there are so many different varieties of knives in the Spyderco line. Even within o...

If you go to 20x, the depth of field is so shallow that it is hard to focus. Absolutely true. I have been using a 20x and although it has 2 LEDs built into it and as a whole it works very well (especially having cost only $7), it is a hassle to focus. I just ordered a "BelOMO 10x Triplet Loupe...

Nice photos, 78lilred. I'm finding out that the photographer matters more than the camera. Unfortunately, I am the world's worst photographer. I just got my first PM2, and while I usually like the zip tie mod, I decided it was a bust with this knife. I tightened that sucker as much as I could, but i...

If you flick the blade open, obviously it's opening faster than a regular thumb hole opening. Wouldn't that make the liner lock more likely to skip over part of the tang, possibly reducing wear? If you open it slowly, the lock and tang slowly grind against each other, for the whole distance. I don't...

At least it didn't hit the floor and get damaged. That would have sucked! Oh Yea, far better to cut yourself and bleed all over the place than to drop the knife. I'd have done the same **** thing you did and got cut just the same. I was being somewhat facetious, but there is an element of truth to ...

I was fondling my Pacific Salt at work one day and dropped it. It was open and I caught it by the blade. Luckily it only sliced open one finger. I bled all over an elevator on my way to the nearest first aid kit. It healed excellently. At least it didn't hit the floor and get damaged. That would ha...

I like tip down but hate the jimped thumb ramps when trying to bypass the knife reaching in your pocket. Exactly. Either reaching into the pocket or just keeping your hand there can be uncomfortable. The Tenacious is horrendous in that regard with that sharp corner it has; it's what made me switch ...

Assuming the knife were aligned as close as possible to the rearmost part of the pocket, it seems to me that tip up would reduce the chance of accidental openings. I haven't had any problems carrying my PM2 tip up, but then again I've only had it for one day.

Well I've tried to be conciliatory, I've apologized (in thread and twice via PM). I've even changed my avatar to reflect the new me. I think maybe we can let it die now? I think that approach makes more sense than posting again and again that the subtopic has gone on too long.

Yep, completely normal on a nested liner knife. As I said before, mine has the same exact double divots (one from where the laser starts, and one from where it stops). I'm absolutely fine with it now that I know that's just how PM2s are, but my Stretches and Delicas don't have these marks. It's qui...

Why would the orange go for more? It's not like the XHP is better than M390. Were those $250/256 ones numbered?

Then again, the Ernie PM2s did sell out (800) in 12 days. I have no idea how many Smurfs were supposed to have been made.
