Re: REX45 Lil' Native Alert Thread

In case some of you rare eu knifenuts are looking for one, coutellerie-tourangelle.com has em in stock. They maintain pretty good prices too considered its in the eu. Here in the Netherlands let's say.. An Endura goed for 110-130, while over there 80 bucks is the norm. Ofc the euro doesn't directly ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

No fancy pic, but worth mentioning nonetheless. https://i.imgur.com/PSvHIzE.jpg This thing won me over to the para 3 despite my complete indifference to or before. The normal one didn't quite do it for me as it felt like it was going for a pm2 in a small size but ending up as a stubby thick not quit...

Re: Sharpeners Compared-Your Thoughts

Yeah I'm unsure of what to think of this comparison. I have mainly used the edge pro the last few years and gotten pretty proficient with it. I prefer it over a wicked edge because of the extra freedom in blade positioning. The learning curve goes a bit higher then the wicked edge which I find the m...

Re: Native chief vs Endura?

Well ****. The Endura is a favorite of mine, never really minded the ergos though they aren't on par with spydies in the native and (para) military line but now I really notice that first hump I have to say that I'm not a fan haha. I've been carrying a g10 s110v manix 2 lately again (to decide wheth...

I'm in doubt. I love rex 45 but 180 euros is a bit steep. I was under the impression that it would be a little lower..

Re: Your Most Collected Spyderco?

For me it's the pm2 in 7 editions (1 regular production all black s30v and 6 sprint editions). I scaled down my delica's to 3 in total, because I own too many blades of this length and profile already but I'll keep the pakkawood hap40, regular vg10 and vtoku2 edition (I accidentally let the vtoku co...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I was in love with my sage 5, took it everywhere, did everything I could to keep it going. It was my best buddy. A few months back I was depositing stuff in a container. Cut open the boxes and dumped old hardware parts, jam it into a piece of wood, and repeat. Stupid me walked out leaving the knife ...

Re: The backup that helps you sleep at night... ;)

Caly 3 HAP40, it is a sprint and it is discontinued but when I got the first one imported from the states I was surprised at how good it was. For me perfect ergos, very snappy and smooth deployment, it's not delica thin but it falls in line with it being a robust ergonomic little wonder with no down...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

https://i.imgur.com/b7qdLn5.jpg Been using this pm2 as my working knife since it dropped. I'm actually quite embarrassed at how new it still looks, spydercos coating holds up extremely well. Only really needed some touch-ups on uf rods and one small chip removal. I like it especially because of its...

Re: Upcoming Sage 5 LW - Who's In?

I hope for a price point on par with the p3 lw. I can't justify a Para 3 Lightweight. Opinions on different places are divided on the bd1n steel, the blade grind is massive for a folder this size and the sage 5 proved to me that less is so much more. I tried carrying my Para 3 cruwear to give it a s...

Re: SpydieChef Stock

Thanks, Kristi. Demand for the SpydieChef is well deserved — it's still my favorite Spyderco. Maybe if I could get hold of a Kapara, I could possibly change my mind? Hard to beat that SpydiChef blade. The kapara is so hard to come by I stopped believing in its existence. Very happy I picked up an i...

Re: Has your compression lock knife opened accidentally?

I only own one pm2 out of my 6 that came with a weak as **** detent. I could open it with a flick like you do on 940s. I had to disassemble it and carefully bend the lockbar inwards to increase tension, as it was definitely a no go otherwise. Not a perfect solution, but one nonetheless. Aside from t...

Re: Any upcoming Millies? Sprintruns or Exclusive?

The Military (especially sprints/exclusives) seems to satisfy people so much lol, I think there should be more variants made. And from the demand it looks like a new CruWear should be first! It caught me off guard as things along the line of the length of a pm2 has been my go to knife for all occas...

Re: Any upcoming Millies? Sprintruns or Exclusive?

I lucked out and purchased a good as new cruwear milli that hadn't been used or barely for less then a new plain military. Not a scratch on it. I feel like with this I already got all I want from a milli sized folder. Whenever I think about buying a new one I carry this for a few days and without ex...

Better to move on to something still in high demand and rare...like CRUWEAR! :D I hear ya. I still hold on to my Para 3 cruwear even though I really have no love for the knife whatsoever. It's simply bloody brilliant steel. I have been using it as my test and trial knife when experimenting with dif...
