Sorry to derail the thread, but had to ask: Are you going to make folders or fixed blades with your new steel? (Or both?) Keep us posted. Sounds like a fun project. I'm starting with fixed blades, making them by stock removal. I'll have a maker train me to make a folder in a bit less than a month !

Thanks for the answers, I really took my time for this, but I guess if i do it again i'll be more efficient. Btw, the s110v on this N5 LW feels pretty chippy, I managed to create micro-chips while sharpening it ! Didn't happen the 2 first times I sharpened it, I thought I was really paying attention...

Very high hollow grind ! A chap'-like Spyderco, with a bit more length and a hollow would take the throne the Opinel sits in when it comes to cutting "saucisson sec"
