Avoid bestdarnproducts.com
Not because they sell fakes. I placed an order almost three weeks ago and get no answer when I call or e-mail. Promises on website to ship within 48 hours or explain the delay are apparently lies.
I'm still e-mailing as they have my credit card info and a live order.

I have 1 Gransfors and 3 Wetterlings. The finish is nicer on the Gransfors. The one I use the most is this: Wetterlings Carpenter's Axe The cutting edge of the Wetterling Carpenter's Axe has a straight edge used for whittling and carving. The straight handle is of prime American hickory, and the hea...

Need thread size for bolts on Adventura clip
Went to get some wood for Mule scales yesterday (picked out tulip wood and a fabulous 18" quilted maple board) and picked up a piece of quarter inch thick bird's eye maple out of the scrap tub that would be perfect for making scales for my new Adventura. I wish to attach the scales using some o...

Mule Team CPM-M4 second
I arrived at this forum too late to get the first two Mule Team releases. Once I learned of the program I immediately ordered a CPM-M4 factory second and it arrived this evening. There doesn't seem to be any flaws in the blade finish, although the hole seems to have an interior burr. The handle has ...

Paypal
I've been mad as **** at Paypal several times, but to give them their due, the last time I was ripped off by a seller they refunded my $77. And as a CPA that has taken a number of economics courses and read many books on economics, want to voice my agreement that economic policies should not be disc...

Adventura deal at Sierra
If any of you get e-mailed coupons from Sierra trading, the one today for 26% off clearance items plus 25% off the second clearance item is particularly good because the add'l 25% off applies to the HIGHER priced item. I just used it twice buying a cheap $1.81 carabiner and a higher priced item. One...

To me, the value of making Mules with more commonly-available steel for the next couple of iterations would be to provide a reference point for the series. In other words, assuming MT03 is S90V, you could compare different characteristics of that blade vs. the 52100 in MT01, for example. Since ZDP-...

Why S90V and ZDP? Those steels have already been produced by Spyderco. I thought Sal and Company were looking to try out new steels they had not worked with before to test both the manufacturing process and the steel's qualities. I wondered the same thing. Perhaps it is a different processing of th...
