Seems like a killer way to debut the Military2.

Re: What Knife would benefit from a button release.

I agree. For me it would be an improvement to most compression locks.

I would also be happy to see button/plunge locks used more often. I have a couple, one manual and one auto, and I like them.

Re: Blade Centering.

I carry in my back pocket and my knives are often off center. Depends on how rigid they are. Some definitely flex. With some hand strength I can usually just flex it the other way and center them.

Re: I prefer the Native Chief Over the Millie.

I like the Chief better in pocket and the Military better in hand.

I haven’t carried either that much since I got the StretchXL.

Re: Weird blade grind/plunge line observation

They are ground on a giant abrasive wheel. The machine holds multiple blades and grinds them all at once. I saw it in a YouTube video at one point.

Re: Spyderco filet knife?

I have been asking for one for years. Unfortunately if we see a Phil Wilson fillet knife it will likely be a Chinese made knife with 8cr13 like the Bow River.

I like fillet knives flexible so a super steel may not be the best choice. CPM154 or similar might be a good option.

I like the 3 and 4.

Surprised we haven’t seen a sprint of the 4 yet.

Re: NKD: Stretch 2 XL Cruwear

Not a sprint, right? Correct , but if like past more refined Stretch models , I would not count on a long life span . MG2 And why would that be? Older refined Stretch models had a life span of around three years in CF and G10 . MG2 I would speculate that those were both single 1200 piece runs that ...

Re: NKD: Stretch 2 XL Cruwear

Some regular production knives never get a second run and end up being just as limited as a sprint. Considering the price, some qc issues and the fact that the Stretch has never been a hot seller this has a chance of being one run and done.

Re: Para 3 Lovefest, Where Did It Go?

I generally like big knives so I’m the wrong one to ask. That said, I ergonomically prefer the Native. I have quite a few Natives and only one Para3. I kept that Para3 because I’m a knife geek and want to have it represented in my giant pile of knives. I think the Para3 came out of the gate hot beca...

Re: "hard use"

Pocket knives are multi tools in reality. They aren’t designed for a specific purpose usually and are expected to do anything you might need a knife for. That means different things to different people depending on what their job or hobbies are. I consider hard use to be something that can cause dam...

Re: Why is the PM2 more popular when the Manix 2 is objectively better?

I find the Manix2 to be a chunky pocket hog with mediocre ergos and superfluous jimping. I think the Para2 is over hyped but I definitely prefer it over the Manix2.

Why is the Para2 more popular? The internet says so. Hype, hype and more hype.

Finally got mine. It’s snowmaggedon here and my post office didn’t have power until today. It’s been three days and I’m still out. Maybe tomorrow? We got about 4 feet of heavy wet snow in 36 hours. Ughh....

Very happy to finally have another Military! Woo hoo!!!

I think it is great that Spyderco is picking a model that doesn’t exclude anybody.

I don’t have to deal with any restrictions and small slip joints aren’t really my thing. I’m gonna sit this one out.

I would agree that this is a very reasonable viewpoint for jurisdictions where you can’t trust the authorities, or where only a suspect handful operate all the levers of justice.
You guys trust agents of the state? Maybe there is a cultural disconnect?
