Gotta be careful. I responded to a Craigslist ad for a PM2. The guy had one of the new china clones and it was nearly identical to the real one. They fixed the tells that used to make it identifiable. The only noticeable difference was that the pivot screw was a T8 rather than a T10 on the real one.

Had a huge stack of cardboard boxes to get rid of from all the crap I bought from Amazon during the holidays. My Spyderco Delica 4 sliced through them with ease!

Occasionally see them at Amazon (third party sellers). Boggles my mind why this great knife is so hard to find!

Yeah you gotta be careful with the descriptions on Amazon. For example they have one titled Paramilitary2 but when you read the description it's a PM. They do have PM2 now and again as they pop in and out of stock.

Yeah it often boils down to the price and how much risk you are willing to take. For a really good deal I'll take on a bit more risk.

I really do stay well clear of eBay these days. Terrible.

Just wrote an article on my blog about fakes as I keep hearing of too many folks getting stung.

I have read a few posts in various knife forums, where posters have indicated that they liked a steel which would roll the edge instead of chip. Many have written that they preferred vg-10 to s30v, because it was easier to sharpen and the edge would usually roll instead of chip. S35vn seems to have...

Amazon had them in stock only a couple weeks back. Now I see they're saying 1-2 months shipping time!
Keep your eye on it as they come back in stock sporadically.

An old pocket watch my father gave me twenty years ago. I don't use it much and it's tucked away in a drawer but if it were ever to go missing it would destroy me.

I personally agree with the tip-up is safer camp. I've carried tip-up exclusively for a good while, but when I used to carry tip-down I remember finding my back pocket sliced open somehow. Not sure if it was extracting or replacing the knife in the pocket, but, nothing of the sort has happened to m...
