Gotta be careful. I responded to a Craigslist ad for a PM2. The guy had one of the new china clones and it was nearly identical to the real one. They fixed the tells that used to make it identifiable. The only noticeable difference was that the pivot screw was a T8 rather than a T10 on the real one.

Look really nice.

Had a huge stack of cardboard boxes to get rid of from all the crap I bought from Amazon during the holidays. My Spyderco Delica 4 sliced through them with ease!

Occasionally see them at Amazon (third party sellers). Boggles my mind why this great knife is so hard to find!

Yeah you gotta be careful with the descriptions on Amazon. For example they have one titled Paramilitary2 but when you read the description it's a PM. They do have PM2 now and again as they pop in and out of stock.

Yeah it often boils down to the price and how much risk you are willing to take. For a really good deal I'll take on a bit more risk.

I try to support my local knife shop but in many cases I resort to cheaper prices online.

Amazon had them in stock only a couple weeks back. Now I see they're saying 1-2 months shipping time!
Keep your eye on it as they come back in stock sporadically.

Thanks for this! I agree the VG-10 sure does hold an edge extremely well.

An old pocket watch my father gave me twenty years ago. I don't use it much and it's tucked away in a drawer but if it were ever to go missing it would destroy me.
