I just checked again on Amazon and all the Opus for $119 are gone. There were 17 of them last night.

I just got the CF Native Chief S90V the other day and it is all CF and it's smooth as a babies bottom. I wish it had a little more texture to it. It's the biggest Spyderco knife I own.

I too would love a Native Chief in 4V but I have been waiting a long time for this CF S90V model to show up...I may be wrong but has it been a year ? By the way how does 4V compare with S90V ?

So how does a fake knife get checked at Spyderco ?
Well guys I feel that I bought a fake Southard knife...a magnet sticks to the handle. So I sent it back to the company I bought it from and they sent it to Spyderco for verification. Just wondering how long this could take??
Thanks for any information you can share.

Re: Sage Maxamet
My favorite Spyderco with a steel that's in a league of its own? Yep, I'm interested. This knife will probably live in my pocket everyday for the rest of my life. I'm curious what it is people don't like about maxamet? I avoid it because it sounds like a huge pain to sharpen, and the super high edg...

Re: My ideal Spyderco
I would modify only two of them one would be a Little Kapara or a extra large Mantra 2 both those knives are great just the way they are design wise...20CV on the Kapara would be a nice bonus...the Mantra2 just needs to be a hair bigger. :D

BTW T, take a hard look at the Sliverax. I carried mine again today and I still can't believe there isn't more enthusiasm for it. Knowing you don't care for knives that are wide in the pocket I think you'd really like it. I have not checked that one out yet...but I did look at the Siren which has n...

Signalman1 - I still think you need to try that GB2 you were considering before you finally decided to go with the Advocate Otherwise give us an idea of what you're looking for. Something smaller? Native 5 might be a good choice. ;) That is a great idea maybe something special just might pop up...o...

Re: Happy National Knife day!
Well after weeks of looking/comparing I pulled the trigger on another Spyderco yesterday...number 6 which is a Advocate...can't wait for it to get here. Not bad for a rookie here...that GB-2 picture looks great...that was the other knife I was looking at. :D
