Re: Have you ever returned a knife for bad grind lines?
Never. Too many knives to count and never even thought about returning one for grind lines and a few of mine look like yours.

Re: OK, it's time to get serious
Thanks for the reviews. This is one that will find a home with me once it is full production or a sprint. Any steel any colour.

Re: 52100 performance thread
I would take either the Native 5 or Manix LW or regular for a folding mule series.

Re: 52100 performance thread
Decided not to pick one of these up (cost versus other expenses, and no real need for another millie when I have a Cruwear and S90V that don't get carried much). That being said looking forward to reports on this steel and how it performs.
What a fantastic time to be a fan of spyderco knives.

Re: Evolution of the Spyderco Yojimbo 2
Great video. I am happy with the S30V but mine is a utility carry only. The only change I made was to replace the stainless clip with a black painted clip otherwise a perfect knife for what I use it for. An aside, I am probably the only person happy to see that the delica mike carries is CE. Score o...

Re: Anti-gun nonsense
This may be jaded but don't ever forget that the vast majority of politicians are purely looking to preserve or obtain influence and power not effectively serve their constituents. Banning guns is a simple proposal in the age of sound bites. Next on the list is cars (far more people die by car than ...

Re: Disco'd models on your to find list
Haven't been actively looking but stopped in on an army surplus store to find a SE Millie (440c, original jimping, white box) in their display case for 349.91. I assume it has been sitting there for ever because of the price sticker. Long story short I walked out of there with it in my pocket for 18...

Re: Seeking a recommendation ...
Welcome to the forum. My favourites from Golden: Work knife - para 2 office knife - Native 5 (titanium) either of these are what I think are perfect examples of spyderco products. I don't restrict myself to USA made knives but everyone has their own opinion. I would say I have more Japanese spyders ...

Re: I owe someone an apology
Tastes change. Both are fantastic knives. I cut my teeth on an original Native, when I picked up the forum S90V one it was like second nature with a tonne of improvements. An elmax with FG scales would be a dream. Cruwear with Grey, PS27 with Dark Navy, XHP with orange, the list goes on.

Re: FRN Orange vs Burnt Orange
I prefer the safety orange but am not totally opposed to the burnt orange. My hap40 delica blade got swapped into the PE Lil Matriarch blue handle almost immediately. My Hap40 streatchwas left alone. There is a big difference between the two.

Re: Appropriate Gift for child: Spyderco?
If I got a knife the quality of a delica or Dfly when I was that age it would have been one of my most prized possessions. I think a smaller knife would be better for manipulation as their hands are significantly smaller. That being said I have seen kids in that age range that were more than respons...

Lol, I do the same. If I am looking to buy a variation of a knife I already own I will carry it to convince myself I need the new one.

Re: Favorite Salt knife?
Dfly SE is my most carried Salt but the Tasman SE is my most used.
If I was looking for an alternative to the Millie SE it would be a Pac Salt SE.

Re: PSF27, what do we know about it?
In limited kitchen use so far it has performed well, good edge retention (haven't needed anything more than the factory edge for now). Haven't seen any issues with staining or patina but that may be more a function of what I have cut.
I think the comparison to CPM D2 is a good one.

Re: delica 4 combo edge
Hey Colt, welcome to the forum. You will most likely get people preferring the PE over the CE. As one of the few on this forum who use and appreciate CE's let me say that the Delica works well like this. I have used mine CE Foilage Green extensively and there wasn't anything I threw at it that it di...

Re: Spyderco knives that will increase in value?
Thinking about how knives will increase in value changes this from a hobby to a business in my mind. I look for knives I like or want to have.
