I have ordered some solid ZDP189. The laminates are a good idea, if stainlessness is what you want..the 420 is the most stainless, followed by the ATS34. I want the best possible wearabality, but I do know that I am going to be spending a small fortune on grinding belts and wet and dry paper...just ...

..oh no..there starts another topic...which wood is the best wood for blades? Spyderco will lead with Lignum Vitae, stain resistant and water proof.. on their top of the line blades.. Followed by snakewood, tough and hardy for middle of the road. Then in the economy corner...Japanese oak, good to lo...

Sal, is your lizard one of these...? Mexican Beaded LizardThe Mexican beaded lizard (Heloderma horridum) It has more uniform spots rather than bands of color(the Gila monster).
