I have ordered some solid ZDP189. The laminates are a good idea, if stainlessness is what you want..the 420 is the most stainless, followed by the ATS34. I want the best possible wearabality, but I do know that I am going to be spending a small fortune on grinding belts and wet and dry paper...just ...

Followed by snakewood, tough and hardy for middle of the road. Then in the economy corner...Japanese oak, good to lo...

Simona, the specs for 120c are as follows..



Sandvik 120C 0.58% carbon, 14 %chrome, 0.35%manganese, and 0.35% silicone
Max hardness 58 c scale Rockwell
