more knives give more options

For years all I carried were smaller blades. Once I started getting :spyder: 's I started enjoying additional options. ie. today I know I'll be doing some work that might require a larger blade. I'll bring the manix2 in addition to my little fox folder. For work on Tue. I know that nothing heftier t...

I'm glad I saved it too. my concern is the pitting due to the rust. It would need to be reground to get rid of it. The pitting leaves it far too prone to rust again. It is sharp, and I believe it is pretty hard too. I don't know where to go to get an opinion on viable options for it. I will keep it ...

thanks

Mr. Glesser, Your sentiments are felt and respected. I was drawn to Spyderco because of the quality and innovation that are used in making your knives. The sheer diversity of function and incremental improvement in the various models is inspiring. My first Spyderco was the Lum chinese folder. Since ...

Looking for advice on this old blade

It belonged to my grandfather. When I found it a couple of years ago the sheath had all but rotted away and the blade was covered with rust. I cleaned the rust off, but don't really don't know what to do with it now. I just keep it oiled to prevent it from rusting again. I dpn't think it's worth any...

Very tough question. I enjoy all of my spyderco's.

If forced to answer I would have to say Lum chinese folder. It's such a light and versatile knife. Plus it just looks beautiful :D

Have to say my spydie collection is still small. Hope to experience many more over time.

Love the FRN stretch

The use of FRN for the scales allowed me to get a stretch in ZDP for under $90. The FRN scales also make it very light, and for me it grips well. At first I was sceptical of the plastic scales, but have grown to love them. They're strong, light, inexpensive, and grip well. My delica4 and pacific sal...

The next time I'm out I'll try the forester with chores other than chopping wood. We'll see what goes.

It is a beautiful knife too.

the forester does what it's supposed to

I have a forester and dayhiker. I had a chance to use the forester last weekend and was able to chop thru a few 2 to 3 inch green logs with relative ease. It is the task that kniife was made to do. The edge is still sharp enough to cut paper. The screw heads aren't an issue with me. The knife (long ...

First post

Hello.. I bought a Sharpmaker a few months back and have had great success with it. I was able to get my little 2" fox folder almost up to Spyderco out of box sharpness. This little fox had never been very sharp, so I sharpened slowly and deliberately making sure I was addressing the whole leng...
