So it seems like this Cruwear mule is one to pick up? I assume all the ones left have received the corrective heat-treat. What do you guys use yours for? This one's not stainless it seems, is corrosion a problem? Push me off the fence... Sorry for the thread hi-jack (but you all love this sort of qu...

At the risk of sounding like a jerk, has this thread turned into us, in our air-conditioned homes, communicating instantly across the world as if by magic, analyzing why our largely unnecessary hobby has gotten inconveniently expensive, and then blaming "the man?" Lordy. I'm just saying we...

Am I alone when I say that I don't understand the point of this thread (that is, the original post)? Just looking at a popular retail site, there are 51 models over $100, and like 100 models (I stopped counting) under $100, with blade steels in VG10, S30V, ZDP-189 and others. Seems like you have myr...

I would say this creates a whole new ball game doesn't it? I mean to me "Prototypes" says something new, not some existing model with a different color handle or blade material. Or am I thinking to far outside the box? Intriguing but I think you're reading too much into it. For it to be a...

Congrats. I just succumbed and preordered the new Titanium Chaparral. I love the materials, the look, and the lock. It has a wire clip, and at least some sources put the 2.5 oz, and it'll be light even if it doesn't actually come in at that.

Manix 2 XL. It's a bit bigger, fun to play around with, and totally carry-able if you don't dress like a hipster. The fit and finish (on my example at least) is flawless, and the G10 texture is better than any of the other knives I've handled. Talk about a slab of S30V! And all for under $100? Robbe...

Don't mean to hijack, but I'm curious why you say this. Is it a looks thing, a feel thing, or something else?

Wow. I'm a huge fan of the VG-10 on my Delicas, and this confirms why. As far as everyday use goes, I can't imagine a worse test than this one.

Just received a Manix 2 XL as a gift from my girlfriend and I have to say that I'm totally blown away by the fit and finish of this knife. Completely flawless in every respect, in a winning design that fits my hand perfectly. I really don't understand how this combination of workmanship and material...
